How to Master Q4 for a Strong 2024

Boston in the fall is my favorite. The breeze is blowing, the golden leaves are glistening, and there is a refreshing sense of change in the air. For me, fall includes hockey tournaments, fall festivals, and this year - two awards dinners!?

The holidays are not too far away, and families and friends are packing their calendars with parties and gatherings and celebrations….

When you run your own business, it means closing the year. Doing a Q4 analysis is a great way to pause and do a pulse check on how YOU and your business are doing.???

Evaluating books, revenue, and systems can be daunting - but, it doesn’t have to be.?

Here are three tips to get ahead in the fourth quarter so 2024 is stronger than ever.?

  1. Do not wait.?

This is probably the hurdle we all face: making the time.

But if you wait, you lose time and money, and incur a lot of stress. As a business owner and entrepreneur, you could end up closing the year by yourself during the holidays. We don’t want that! If you start now, you can get ahead, and enjoy the holidays with your loved ones, confidently knowing that your business is ready for its best year.?

  1. If you are procrastinating: figure out why.

Your business will never outgrow you. Your books reflect your business decisions, and ultimately, will affect your growth.

So if you find yourself stalling or putting it off, ask yourself why.

Is it too overwhelming??

Is it fear??

Is there something in the numbers or your systems you do not want to face?

Whatever it is - you are not alone, and you are not the first to face it. The best part is once you realize what is holding you back, the problem shrinks. It becomes a molehill instead of a mountain.?

  1. Leave no stone unturned.

When analyzing your business and your books, GO ALL IN! What have your investments delivered for you? Which systems are working? Which are not? How can you improve your processes? How can you attract and retain good talent?Have you reached your revenue goals? What do you need to do to exceed them?All of this affects your ROI, this quarter, all of 2023 AND your 2024.
