How Many People Miss Out On Opportunities in Life

Findings from research show that two of the major reasons behind the unwillingness of people to embrace business opportunities are fear and lack of understanding. I have chosen to focus on these two because I have seen them more in operation, especially as I interact with people from time to time.
It is unbelievable how much many people have allowed flimsy excuses limit them from being their best and maximizing their potentials. When you ask many people, one of the reasons they often give for not doing a business is lack of capital. The truth of the matter is that the major reason is fear. This, most times, is built on lack or inadequate understanding.
After a recent conversation with a man who showed interest in my line of business, he looked at me keenly and asked how I have such knowledge about health when I told him my academic background? I told him it was through studying, experience and research.
As an advocate of personal development, I am of the view that one can know how much they want to know as long as they are committed. There are a lot of people who studied medicine who are working with banks. What about other professionals who are doing jobs that is far from what they read in school? One of my very good friends read ‘water engineering’ makes a living from the media and journalism. What is your excuse?
The best thing fear would do to you is limit you from reaching your potentials. *Fear deactivates a person’s ability to think creatively and stops them from making something good out of their life*. The kind of business I do is in the health sector. I embraced it despite not studying anything related to health/medicine. I have learned a lot in my quest. It is a lucrative business. It doesn’t stop me from doing my content creation and media consultancy job. Don’t wait till it is too late before you make the right move. While you have the energy and someone who is presenting a rare opportunity around, seek to understand, embrace it with boldness and be determined to succeed.
Let me close with this statement from one of my mentors, *opportunities look so big when they are afar. Unfortunately, they become so small when they are within our reach and we ignore them*. Are you going to ignore this opportunity knocking on your door? Buzz me, I have one for you…
Have a blessed week.
