How many kinds of defoamer we can choose？

We have explained the defoamer definition and characters in my last article. Here we want to talk about how many different kinds of defoamer we have.

Usually, we can differentiate them according to function, target usage, composition, or their existing form. Let us talk one by one.

A, Classified by active ingredient it includes.

1)Silicone defoamer, which means the main component is polydimethylsiloxane

2)High-carbon alcohol defoamer, high-carbon alcohols whose main components are C12 ~ C26, mainly play a degassing effect.

3)Fatty defoamer, the main ingredients are natural soybean oil, corn oil, and mineral oil

4)Polymer defoamer, prepared by single or mixed addition polymerization of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide

B, Classified according to whether it contains a silicone chain, we can call silicone defoamer or non-silicone defoamer

C, Classified according to the use system

1) Black liquor defoamer,

2) white water defoamer,

3) printing and dyeing defoamer,

4) cutting fluid defoamer,

5) petroleum defoamer

D, Classification by product form: Solvent style, powder style
