How many comments will this get?

I wonder how many people will like what I have to say?

I wonder how many people will hate me if I say it?

Or worse, I wonder how many people will ignore me? Because as Oscar Wilde famously said, “There’s only one thing worse than being talked about, that’s not being talked about”.

That void of attention is scary.

Or is it?

Because if you use that as an excuse to produce nothing, it’s a dead cert that you won’t get any attention at all.

It’s not the lack of attention that’s important, it’s the act of turning up every day and producing, shipping, that matters.

Someone is always listening, they just might not tell you.
