How to Manage Your Project Team Through Uncertainty

Nothing is certain in the world of project management – except that your project will end at some point, or at least your leadership of it will. Successfully or unsuccessfully...at some point enough will be enough. And sometimes that project will be filled with issues, risks and uncertainty. You can't eliminate it or guarantee it won't happen, but you can take steps to try and stabilize the situation.

I'm not sure I've ever managed a project that was smooth and had everything going as expected throughout the engagement. I'm pretty sure I can safely say that has never happened to me so far. But I can keep hoping...there's always tomorrow.

However, managing a project and team through great uncertainty – what I'm referring to here – is something much different than just running into the unknown from time to time where you're faced with making some tough decisions.
