How to Make Your LinkedIn Posts Stand Out

How to Make Your LinkedIn Posts Stand Out

Ever feel like your LinkedIn posts aren’t bringing you results despite your best efforts? If your LinkedIn profile is up to date and you’re actively sharing posts, but it feels like they aren’t really landing, it might be time to go back to the basics.

What do you need to understand to write strong posts:

Figure Out What Makes You Stand Out

There are likely many others who do something similar to you. What makes you different from them on LinkedIn? Maybe it’s your personal experience, a unique approach, or a particular skill set.?

Let's break down how you can figure out and highlight what makes you stand out with three actionable steps:

1. Do What Works for You

Using other people’s strategies for your posts but not seeing results? Here's the thing: What works for someone else might not work for you. You’re unique, and you need to look at your own data and performance indicators for guidance. It’s simpler than it sounds.

Start by defining what result you want. For example, if your goal is to have more chemistry sessions, use the number of bookings as the success indicator. Don’t let impressions and likes distract you form your goal (unless, of course, popularity is what you’re after).

Then look at your past posts. Which ones were most successful in terms of your goal? Focus on creating more of what works. LinkedIn provides basic analytics. Make it a weekly or monthly habit to check with them and back up your content strategy with solid data.?

2. Show What Makes You Unique

You don’t have to invent anything new to make yourself special. You already are. Your unique story, background, experiences, and personality set you apart. All you need to do is show it.

How? Share stories and testimonials. Think about a time you solved a big problem or achieved a great result. Share that story in a post. If you have happy clients, ask them for testimonials. Share these experiences to show how you’ve helped others.

3. Use Your Real Voice

If you are a service provider, this is especially important for you: People will decide about working with you based on personal sympathies. Then they will back up their decision by looking at your offer, but not even a fantastic offer can fix it if your potential client doesn’t feel the vibe.

A common mistake I see is posts that sound like reports, essays, or diary entries. Write your next post as if you’re talking directly to someone you know, perhaps your ideal client. Before you hit publish, read it out loud. Does it sound like you? If not, adjust it. This simple trick makes your content feel real, personal, and relatable.?

Next Step to Get More Results from Your Posts

Now that we covered the basics, let's dive into how to implement these strategies in a simple and practical way. On LinkedIn

We'll align your goals with your client's journey and provide examples of how to share stories that showcase your uniqueness.

1. Client Journey: Awareness

This is the biggest group of your LinkedIn audience. Most of these people are just discovering you and may not even realize they have a problem you can solve. It's important to create content that introduces who you are and what you do, without overwhelming them.

How to Talk to Them: Share stories that relate to their daily struggles and frustrations without explicitly pointing out their shortcomings.

Story Example: "When I first started my business, I faced the same challenges many of you do today. I remember struggling to find clients and build my brand. It wasn’t until I discovered the power of networking and sharing valuable content that things started to change…."

How to Talk to Them: Emphasize your unique approach and transformation you offer, making it clear why your services stand out.

Story Example: "I recently worked with a client who was struggling to gain visibility. We started by digging deep into what makes them unique—their core values and strengths. Then, we put together a clear message that reflected who they are. This is how we did it step by step…"

How to Talk to Them: Address common objections and emphasize the ease and benefits of starting with your services.

Story Example: "Many clients worry about whether their investment will pay off. One of my favorite client success stories involves a small business owner who was on the verge of giving up. After a few sessions together, they were back on track and saw a 50% increase in leads. They told me the structured guidance and actionable steps made all the difference.
