How To Make your Competition Irrelevant
Have you ever wondered what marketing would be like if you had no competition? What if you could market with no competition and be a "Category Killer"? We all know that share of voice = Share of Mind, which equals your share of the market. If you want to make your competition irrelevant and own an audience, the best way to get there is to have 100% share of voice for as long as possible before the competition figures it out and then copies your plan. The 2nd best way to get there is to come over the top, become the share of voice leader and own that audience. Once you own the top of the Share of Voice ladder you will remain while the rest fight for what's left over. Getting there is like building the foundation on a home or like starting a business from ground zero. Once you are there, the most difficult part is over. Just maintain what you've built and the business will come your way. The key here is to find a media platform where you don't have any competitors or very minimal competition that you can go above and beyond. This could be a TV station, TV Show, Radio Station or Radio Show, Web Sites, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or many more. They are out there. I've been a part of helping several businesses over the years own their categories of business in the Seattle - Tacoma market. Let me know if you'd ever like to talk ideas for your business or if you'd ever like to talk with any of my Word of Mouth, talk radio clients/partners who we also use Facebook, Instagram and other Digital to cross promote with multi-media campaigns... Oh, and one more thing, the #1 key to success is making sure that your potential customers hear or see your messaging. Make sure you don't purchase advertising that your potential customers tune out or tune away from when your messaging is supposed to be hitting them. Thank You!
