How To Make Your Clients Happy

Remember this before you begin working on that project: you're (writing) for the client

While I often thought I knew better, ghostwriting fiction for clients, my boss always told me this. Some clients will be happy if you give them what they want, and not what you think is best. Always remember that.

Frustrate them with clarity-questions if you work with hard-to-please clients

I've sworn many times not to write for certain clients, eventually, I still do. Well, basically because they always come back. Can't easily say 'no' to loyalty. However, I want to be clear in every way possible, so that when the need arises, I can easily avoid the 'wahala'.

I can't overemphasize this: pay attention to details

Sometimes I go back to briefs and realize the mistake was mine for not being very attentive and thorough. It becomes easier to please your client if you hit 'their' nail right on the head.

Finally, listen to them, first, when they come complaining, whether they're at fault or not.
