How to Make Introductions Effortless (and Why It Matters)

How to Make Introductions Effortless (and Why It Matters)

Earlier this year, I sent an email & posted an article (https://www.dhirubhai.net/pulse/questions-kill-referrals-how-avoid-awkward-silence-tiffanie-pwere/?trackingId=qUvo1fLORWC4RNKodxY5sQ%3D%3D) about inappropriate questions in business conversations, and I’ve received two main responses:

  1. “Does this include stepmoms, empty nesters, or want-to-be moms?” (answer below!)
  2. “I know someone who’d be perfect for the Childfree Women Entrepreneurs group! How should I introduce you?”

Let’s focus on the second one for now...

One of the best ways to create a referral or introduction is to make it as simple as possible for the person connecting you. When introductions are easy and effortless, it’s more likely they’ll actually happen—and everyone benefits.

That’s why I’ve created an introduction script?(at the bottom) to take the guesswork out of it. Whether you’re connecting someone to me or making introductions in your own network, it helps to give people a clear template they can use.

Here’s how you can use a script effectively:

  • Copy and paste it exactly as-is.
  • Tweak it to make it your own.
  • Ignore it if it’s not needed right now.

Do you have a script for introductions? And whom are you looking to meet? If you do, share it in the comments or send me a message! I might feature your example on social media—giving your business a little extra promotion in the process.

Now, back to that first question.

Who Is the Childfree Women Entrepreneurs Group For?

This group is for business owners who are women and have never been moms, stepmoms, want-to-be moms, or planning to be moms.

Four-legged kids are adorable, yet they don’t count here. This group is for women who’ve chosen a childfree life and want to connect with others who share similar experiences.

If you know an amazing female entrepreneur who fits this description, I’d love an introduction. You can use my script, tweak it, or make your own—it’s entirely up to you.

Why This Matters

When we make introductions easy, we build stronger relationships and foster more opportunities for growth—not just for ourselves, but for everyone in our network.

Have you thought about how to make it easier for others to connect people to you? Do you have an introduction script that works well? Let’s start a conversation—drop your thoughts in the comments or send me a message.

Together, we can make meaningful connections happen!

Introduction:?

Greetings, You were on my mind today. A connection of mine was speaking about a unique group being created for female business owners who have chosen to live a childfree life (not to have kids) where they can hang out, connect, and talk business—without judgment.

Of course, you were first on my mind! You're such an inspiring female entrepreneur, so I wanted to connect you with Tiffanie Kellog. Why? In November, she was commiserating with another childfree business owner about how often they’re asked, “When are you having kids?” or “Why don’t you want kids?” That conversation inspired her to create a space where like-minded women can support each other and build meaningful relationships.

A bit about Tiffanie: She’s a 46-year-old business owner and founder of the More Abundant Entrepreneurs Community. She’s passionate about fostering connections that celebrate our shared experiences and individuality while helping entrepreneurs create harmony between work and play in their lives.

She’s looking to meet amazing people like you!

Here are two options for next steps, because you would be interested in surrounding yourself with like-minded women:

1.????? Tiffanie is copied on this message, so you can easily reply to all if you’re interested or have any questions. ??

2.????? Go ahead and schedule a quick “get to know you” chat on Zoom. You can check her availability here: https://bit.ly/TAKCalendar or let her know if another time works better for you.

I hope you’ll connect and explore this exciting opportunity to meet other incredible women. Let me know how you feel about it!?

Great post. Having a sort of “script” is so important, as long as we adjust it to what we may have just ”listened” to and “who” we’re speaking too. Agree Tiffanie Kellog ?? Speaker in Socks ?? And maybe what socks they’re wearing! ????
