How To Make The Impossible Possible
This quote comes from Nelson Mandela, a leader who was loved and respected immensely by people from all over the world. He was someone who dared to do the impossible. With his grit and perseverance, Mandela went beyond the conventional and brought about a peaceful transition from the white-dominated government to a multiracial democracy.
The point I’m trying to make here is to never get bogged down with the impossible because nothing actually is unattainable in this world. Look at the inhuman feats by Usain Bolt - the golden boy of sprinting.
He covered 100m in just 9.58 seconds. How’s that for people who undermined human speed and mental power? It always seems impossible until it’s done.
Think bigger - Way bigger
To do the impossible, you don’t just have to think outside of the box but even have to break the box and get out of it. Oftentimes we tend to put labels on us that restrict our potential and stops us from doing and achieving great stuff.
Get outside of your head. To get to the level where you’re liberated and free, you have to develop a different mindset. Everything you do and don’t depends on your mindset and how you perceive outcomes and events on a daily basis.
To quote Bruce Lee, “If you always put limits on what you can do, physical or anything else, it’ll spread into your work, into your morality, in your entire being. There are no limits. There are plateaus, but you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.”
How to be invincible
If you want to do bigger things in life, then operate at that level. Become invincible. Attempt everything that you think you can’t do. Start with getting the simple things right. Don’t complicate simple stuff. If you’ve tackled the easiest things right, you’re more than ready to take up the loftier tasks.
Take a look at the following things to do great things:
- Set unrealistic goals
If you continue to do the same thing, you’ll continue getting same results. The super-achievers and ultra-productive people set unrealistic goals instead of the realistic ones.
Why?
Because they are smart enough to accomplish tasks which are doable but they challenge themselves by setting impossible goals. Even if they fail at it, they would still be above everyone else’s success.
- Be willing to make sacrifices
You think Usain Bolt broke those records by just chilling with friends and watching Netflix?
Not at all.
He was training day in and day out in scorching heat and enduring extreme weather conditions and worked his tail off. Not even once he took the easy way out, he made sacrifices until he got where he wanted.
- Never ever back down
The only thing that can take you places is your willingness to put in a relentless effort. Success in life comes when you refuse to give up, with goals so strong that obstacles, failure, and loss only act as motivation.
You will get knocked down and that’s okay. If you fall down seven times, get up eight. Don’t let the courage drop and put up a fight until the last drop of your blood.
