How to make importing floor scrubbers from China simple and stress-free?( Part I)

·?Why will you import wholesale products from China?

·?China has gradually become one of the powerful economic players in the world. Since its implementation of reform and opening up, it goes to the world stage with the rapid development of exporting business, especially for the manufacturing industry.

·?A large percentage of items that we see around us are either made or assembled in China. An importer somewhere just did you and me the favor of getting these products from China. And, this is just so that we can access them quickly. But then again, why should you import from China?

·?Now as one of the world’s biggest economies, China is the world’s largest exporter China’s unrivaled ability to build and manufacture large quantities of products quickly and cheaply means demand is only increasing for freight forwarding services for importing from China.

·?When you’re thinking about importing wholesale products from China to your target market, there are a few questions you might ask yourself.?

·?Are my Imports from China marketable and easy to sell??

·?Do my imports from China have profitable margins??

·?Do my imports from China have or bring quality to the market?

·?Are my suppliers easy to work and communicate with?

·?Answering these questions can help you source goods. There’s a simple formula to follow when you seek to find products to import from China, MAPS. MAPS is an acronym standing for Marketable, Affordable, Profitable and Sellable. When you find suppliers, keep MAPS in mind.

·?Marketable?

·?What makes my import from China unique?

·?What are the product’s benefits and economical properties?

·?Does my import from China have sustainability?

·?Affordable?

·?What does it cost to produce in the U.S?

·?Can I request multiple pricing quotes from multiple suppliers

·?Does a specific supplier specialize in “like” products?

·?Profitable?

·?What is my landed cost per unit?

·?What does my import from China sell for in the U.S?

·?What is the profit margin per unit?

·?What is the return on investment?

·?Sellable?

·?What demographic am I pursuing?

·?Where will my Imports from China sell best?

·?Why will my import product be successful?

·?Are my imports from China competitive?

·?Next, Finding & Developing a Product Plan?

·?There is no single “best” product to import from China. The best product to import will depend entirely on your situation. The first step you should take is to talk to your market. Survey your email list, call current and past customers, and look at what your competition is selling. Start to form an idea of what you’re going to sell based on your research. Is it similar to something that already exists? If so, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. If customers are already buying a similar product, that’s good news because that means a market exists for your product. Competition is a good thing.

·?Now, go deeper. What do customers in the marketplace like or dislike about the product? What would they like to see instead? The worst thing you can do is import a product in bulk from China because you think it will sell well. Set yourself up for success by being certain your product will sell before you make your first order.

·?Now that you have an idea of what your customers want, look for a product to sell. Prepare a list of requirements for your product. For example, do you need quality auto scrubbers machines? Look for a company with top-of-the-line manufacturing equipment that will supply a warranty for their products, etc. Start to create a list of suppliers that can meet, and preferably exceed your needs.

·?Here, just let us take what is our factory making the cleaning machines - floor scrubbers as an example.?

·?So as with any other investment project, you may be trying, make sure you have a clear understanding of floor scrubber machines, that you are going to be doing before going into it, and to check if the machines are good values to attract demand locally or not.?

?

·?After Identify if floor scrubber machines are good value to Import, then you might get to know how to import floor scrubber machines from China??

·??How to Find the Right Floor Scrubber Suppliers from China?

·?Trust me, the hardest part of importing from China has always been to find the right supplier. Once you find that one supplier you can trust, everything else falls into place.

·?Is it a must to go to china for the right floor scrubber suppliers??

·?Actually, importing from China isn’t as hard as you may think, You just need to do your research and follow due processes to ensure that you get the best product from China. If you can hack this, then you can really profit from importing from China.

·?First, a China sourcing agent or sourcing service provider can help you.?

·?If you don't have much experience dealing directly with suppliers in China, another option is to seek the help of a commission-based China sourcing agent or sourcing service provider. However, the fee can range from 3 to 15% of the purchase price. Be aware that there might also be hidden commissions between sourcing agents and Chinese manufacturers. The biggest benefit of working with a good agent is its network and relationship with qualified and trustworthy manufacturers, whom you might find hard to access on your own. If you decide to go this route, after working with sourcing agents a few times and familiarizing yourself with the process, you can eventually manage your own deals without their help.

·?Second, you go with Market Places?

·?Many entrepreneurs think that the first step to being able to import a product from China is to physically go to find factories or go to fairs to meet suppliers. It can be useful in some cases, but it is not absolutely necessary. Everything you can do by yourselves, you can do it cheaper remotely.

·?Sites: such as Alibaba or Globalsources or made in china have an excellent database of Chinese Manufacturers. You will find many suppliers supplying different product categories over there.?

·?Third, you can also use many other ways to find potential suppliers:

·?Visiting trade shows is also a great way to see suppliers face-to-face without traveling to China.

·? Business partners' references

·? search suppliers on Google

·? check customs data

·? go to the local wholesale market

·??filter sellers on retail sites?

·?......

·?Which supplier is right for you.

·?Once you have a list of floor scrubber exporters, you can begin asking questions in order to narrow it down to the supplier who is right for you.

·?Some things you will want to ask each exporter to provide you with include:?

·?Business licensing information. You want to be sure that any company you do business with is properly licensed and in compliance with all applicable trade laws in order to avoid future legal problems which may affect your business.

·?Manufacturing and staffing information. Be sure you understand the exporter’s relationship with the manufacturer. Do they manufacture the product themselves? If not, do they get paid by the manufacturer as well?

·?The name and location of the factory producing the product. If an exporter refuses to provide you with the name and address of the factory where the product is manufactured, they may not be a reputable supplier.

·?As for client references. A reputable supplier should be able to provide you with client testimonials and references. Once they do, be sure to check them. However, if the suppliers could not provide it, it is also common, since it is related to business secrets somewhat, also their customers do not agree that for protecting their business.?

·?Second, how to choose from Manufacturer and Trading Company??

·?Now that you have a list of potential suppliers, it’s time to narrow it down. There are many different factors to consider when choosing a supplier: you’ll want to be very careful when choosing who you work with. There are many horror stories of distributors paying a purchase order from a supplier, only to have the supplier disappear without ever sending the product. It’s best to conduct thorough research on multiple suppliers before doing business with them.

·?You’ll want to get answers to a few basic questions first:

·?You’ll also have to make a decision between a manufacturer or a trading company. A manufacturer is a company that produces products for sale. A trading company is basically a broker that works with both Chinese manufacturers and foreign buyers. Most people assume that it’s best to “cut out the middle man” and go straight to the manufacturer but both options have their advantages and disadvantages. Dealing directly with a manufacturer can lead to lower prices and removes the third party from the negotiation process. However, manufacturers often times have higher Minimum Order Quantity requirements (MOQ), and many manufacturers aren’t licensed to export products from China.

·?Trading companies often times have a more extensive product selection due to their relationships with various manufacturers. However, when dealing with a third party, certain quality specifications and product requirements go through an intermediary which can lead to confusion and manufacturing mistakes. It’s best to do your due diligence and choose the option that works best for your particular situation.

·?Third, Big factory or small factory??

·?When coming to big factory suppliers or smaller suppliers, it seems a little bit complicated.?

·?Most of the big suppliers are a professional and complete line of products, also really well in operations. but sometimes, their price is much higher since more operation cost. Besides, since huge orders are in the lines, sometimes their delivery time would be longer for some time, especially in peak seasons. Generally, heavy customers will get ahead of other customers since their production abilities are actually limited in peak seasons.

·?Actually, to be frank, every company has its own costs. The manufacturing cost, administration costs, labor costs, gray cost, etc. Every factory has different advantages on different terms. So it is better you can know better what is their strong products, and offer you some information, then you can decide whether you have the interest to learn more.

·?First of first, do not do business with the suppliers will kill future market and cooperation, only work together with the suppliers aim at a long-term relationship and focus on quality and cooperation. Who is focus on quality and service, relationship maintenance, and won't make bad quality goods to kill future market and cooperation.?

·?How to define a good supplier? Here are some tips for you and just take our MZL factory for example:

·?1. How do we go with Raw material control?

·?In our local area, there are much raw material manufactures and we keep a good relationship with them. We have a large and stable quantity from them and they guarantee to supply stable quality material to us. They arranged a person who is only responsible for our material's production and delivery to make sure safe quality.

·?2. We now have a well-organized workshop and each worker is well experienced for several years in our factory. We always make sure the work environment is clean and safe.

·?3.Quality Control?

·?3-1 QC in the workshop?

·?Four supervisors will check quality with every specific detail to make sure products meet quality.

·?Each machine will get a test, only the machines get through to the warehouse after pass all test progress.

·?1-3-2 QC in packing

·?Three workers check whether the packs include the all stuff of the complete packing list before making packaging.

·?1-3-3 We have a certain quantity of machines in stock to make sure for stable lead time.

·?1-4 Quality complains

·?If any customers make quality complaints, we'll forward them to our service team. They will report to our factory manager. Usually, we will hold a meeting with the production, purchasing, and packaging departments in 24 hours, and will respond in 48 hours with feedback and solution.

·?1-5 Negotiation

·?Usually, we contact customers by email and telephone. We also go abroad every year to a different market to visit our current customers. We'll meet and talk face to face for a better understanding.

·?1-7 we'll prepare some samples for our first step

·?If our customer has the interest to work with us, we'll prepare some samples for our first step to evaluate the quality and to test markets.

·?Take another example, if you are only looking to import in small quantities, try to consider smaller suppliers. Here is the thing; smaller suppliers are often flexible and open to negotiations. Unlike big suppliers, smaller companies tend to produce goods in smaller quantities. As such, their MOQ may be a lot less than those of the established manufacturers. Besides, small entities tend to be thirsty for business. Therefore, they are highly unlikely to refuse to sell simply because you can’t meet the MOQ requirements.

·?Forth,How to avoid scams or cases where poor quality floor scrubbers are even fraud??

·?To avoid scams or cases where poor quality scrubber products are supplied, even one of the concerns I have heard from entrepreneurs who want to import is the risk of fraud. What if I pay them and they run away with my money? take the following precautions:

·?Suggestion 1: If you have familiar friends in China, get contacts of one of them to help audit. These might be helpful in locating the right suppliers and spot-checking the quality of your products.

·?Suggestion 2: Send an inspector to the factory

·?Do you want to make sure that the factory is in good condition? You can do this remotely (for example, Bureau Veritas is a company that can provide you with all kinds of inspectors). This inspection can be done to give you general information about the factory, and also as a surprise inspection during production, or final to determine quality, etc.). This is a tool that I recommend, especially if the customer-supplier relationship is new, to validate that they are not giving you a hoax.

·?Suggestion 3: Request for a Product Sample?

·?Before you order in bulk after finding a potential supplier, request the supplier to send you a sample of the product. So that It is easier to verify the quality when you have it physically. Then you can know how to proceed to order base on If the quality satisfies your needs or not. Besides, you also can show the samples to the potential customers to test the market.??

·?Suggestion 4: Pay a certain deposit before delivery

·?Generally, in China, 30% down payment and 70% are requested at the end of production. This will allow you to inspect your merchandise before paying the final 70%. so you can pay a reasonable deposit first, and the remains pay after the goods are ready for delivery, etc.?

·?Suggestion 5: Make a trip before making an order.?

·?If at all possible, it's best to schedule a visit to your supplier in China. This will help you establish a relationship with the supplier and get a sense of how well their business is operated. This provides a better opportunity for negotiation than working on a deal over the phone.?

·?The supplier's official website should offer their physical addresses and contact details. If this information is absent, ask for their contact details, and if they don’t mind you coming in and checking on their offices. This shouldn’t be a problem at all if they are not hiding something from you.

·?Tip: What you need to do is to obtain a business visa.

·??In order to enter China, you will need to apply for and receive a Chinese visa, which is a visa specific to business activities. You can apply for this visa at the nearest Chinese consulate. In order to get the visa, you will have to submit the required documentation and items, which includes:

·?A valid passport from your current country of residence. A black and white photocopy of the picture page of your passport. Black and white photocopies of previous Chinese visas you have obtained (if any). A recent, passport-style photo of yourself. A completed visa application form (available at the Chinese Embassy's website).

·?An invitation letter from the supplier you are meeting. A fee of approximately $140, plus any additional service or administrative fees. It may take three weeks for your visa to be processed and shipped once you have applied for it. However, you may be able to pay for expedited service. Ask the consulate for details. Negotiate a deal with the supplier. Remember that business interactions with Chinese exporters are governed by Chinese culture.

·?Suggestion 6.Factory Inspections?

·?Contact a Third-party Inspection Company to Inspect your Goods. Having an inspection of a Chinese factory completed can help you verify if your potential partners are reliable. An inspection will be completed by a professional third party and will let you know if the factory is capable of making your product. This will save you a trip to China and the inspector will catch things that you probably wouldn’t. It’s best to let your shipping agent find a legitimate inspector to complete this process so they have your best interest in mind.

·?Your inspector will provide you with a full 10 – 15 page report (with photos) of factory conditions, working conditions, and detailed information on the manufacturing area, loading area, licenses, and quality control systems.

·?As always, our slogan is we only make The Reliable Scrubbers as Dark Horse - 5.5 hours run time with durable quality but competitive pricing #Cleaning Machines Supplies #Commercial Cleaning Equipment #Cleaning and Hygiene Service Provider

It does not end and there are 3 parts in all for this topic, let us go on for the part II next week.
