How to make a difference to hiring global talent for your organisation when building new teams in Deep Tech / AI / ML & Software Projects globally

Being an authentic recruiter means being genuine and transparent with candidates throughout the recruitment process. This means being honest about the company's culture, the role, and the expectations. It also means being respectful of candidates' time and their needs.

From our experience as a Global Search group at Set2Recruit, we work across a wide variety of Deep Tech and classic engineering groups, and pride ourselves in able to understand global challenges and issues that can also make a real difference to candidates' experiences. This means being aware of the different cultural norms and expectations that candidates may have. It also means being able to communicate effectively with candidates who may not speak the same language as you.

Here are some specific ways that being authentic and understanding global challenges can make a difference to candidates' experiences:

  • We know how big a move it is in any career move, but to move countries and sometimes 2,000 Miles+ for a new career, life, journey is massive for many candidates.


In today's globalized world, it is more important than ever for recruiters to be authentic and to understand global challenges. By doing so, you can make a real difference to the candidates' experiences and help them to find the right role for them and help support their transition and journey and adventure.

  • Do your research.?Learn about the different cultures and customs of the countries where you are recruiting. This will help you to avoid making any cultural faux pas, also help the candidates knowledge and awareness of challenges in this new country.
  • Be respectful of different languages.?If you are not fluent in the language of the candidate, be sure to have someone who is available to translate.
  • Be patient.?The recruitment process can take longer in some countries than in others. Be patient with candidates and prepare them and help their understanding of their circumstances and these difference process in new countries
  • Be flexible.?Be willing to adapt your approach to the recruitment process to meet the needs of the candidate.

By following these tips, you can show candidates that you are authentic and that you understand their needs. This will help you to build trust and rapport, which can lead to a better recruitment experience for everyone involved + smooth process's and we find a much greater delivery experience then they found using other companies that don't have this approach and care.
