How to Make ChatGPT Undetectable: 10 Proven Methods That Guarantee Undetectability

How to Make ChatGPT Undetectable: 10 Proven Methods That Guarantee Undetectability

Ever since it hit the scene back in late 2022, ChatGPT has changed the world as we know it. It’s game-changing technology, and it’s already impacting so many different aspects of life.?

In the working world, for example, lots of businesses now use ChatGPT and other AI bots to create content for them, like emails, blog posts, webpages, and marketing materials.

But, there’s a downside! ChatGPT (and other AI writers) can be detected by AI detection tools, like GPTZero, Copyleaks, Content at Scale, and Originality.ai. Because of these tools, you can’t just use AI and pretend like you wrote the text yourself, as you can find out.

Fortunately, there are multiple methods to make ChatGPT undetectable, letting you enjoy the speed and convenience of AI writing, without any of the downsides (like penalties, punishments, and SEO problems).?

With that in mind, let’s dig into 10 tried and true ways to make ChatGPT text undetectable – we’ll even test each method and show you how well it works.

TL;DR

Not got the time for the full read? That’s fine. If you’d prefer to skip right to the results, check out the table below. It shows you all 10 methods we tested for making ChatGPT undetectable, along with the AI detection results (using Originality and GPTZero) for each method, so you can see how well they all worked.

Results for ChatGPT Content - The Baseline

Results of Topic 1

Results of Topic 2

So, what do the results tell us? Well, as you can see, quite a lot of these methods worked, at least to some extent, to make ChatGPT text harder to detect. However, some of them did a much better job than others.?

In particular, the No. 1 method – using an AI humanizer, BypassGPT, to humanize ChatGPT text – worked the best. It had the biggest shift in detection results, even getting some perfect 100% human scores from GPTZero and near-perfect 99% human scores from Originality.

But reading these results only tells part of the story. Read on to find out more details about what each of these 10 methods involved, why they can be used to make ChatGPT undetectable, and how much you can truly rely on them to beat AI detection once and for all.

The No. 1 Method to Make ChatGPT Text Undetectable

There’s no doubt about it – the No. 1 method for making ChatGPT undetectable is to use an AI humanizer or undetectable AI content writer, like BypassGPT.?

For the unfamiliar, an AI humanizer is an AI tool that is, in many ways, similar to other AI writers. It’s based on artificial intelligence technology and uses natural language modeling to understand prompts and produce output text to suit the user’s needs.?

However, the big difference between a tool like BypassGPT and something like ChatGPT is that BypassGPT has been specifically trained to produce human-like output text.?

It’s aimed at beating AI detection and transforming AI text to make it sound less robotic and much more human, helping users bypass scans on tools like Originality, GPTZero, etc.

Out of all the AI humanizers out there, BypassGPT is by far one of the best. It’s got industry-leading humanization technology that can help you get a 100% human score on even the toughest, strictest detectors.?

It also produces original, plagiarism-free content, and it can even help with SEO, too. It’s a truly multifunctional all-in-one AI solution.

Does BypassGPT Work for Making ChatGPT Undetectable?

There’s a lot to love about BypassGPT, but the big question is clear: does it work? Can it live up to its hype and deliver truly undetectable content that can help you beat AI detection, every time?

There’s only one way to find out!?

We have to put it to the test and see how good it really is. So, let’s give it a try. We’ll start by visiting Open AI’s ChatGPT and asking it to deliver a couple of sample or baseline texts for us to work with.?

Note that for the purposes of fairness, we’ll reuse these same samples for the other tests in the rest of the guide.

Here’s the first sample, based on the topic of “technological advances and social development”.

And the second sample, which centers around “protection of intellectual properties.”

Before we use BypassGPT, we have to see how these baseline texts perform in AI detection scans. So, let’s run them through two top tools – GPTZero and Originality.ai.

No surprises there. Both texts are deemed to be AI-generated, as expected.

Now, let’s see if BypassGPT can improve those scores through its humanization.

Here’s how it handled topic 1.

And topic 2:

Next, let’s see how well these new pieces of text do against the AI detectors:

The results are amazing, to say the least. Both topics got almost perfect scores – 0% AI on GPTZero and just 1% AI on Originality. And it didn’t require any manual rewriting or editing to get there.?

All we had to do was copy the text into BypassGPT and let it work its magic. This proves it’s the most effective and efficient way to make ChatGPT undetectable.

More Ways to Make ChatGPT Text Undetectable

Using an AI humanizer like BypassGPT is obviously a fantastic way to make ChatGPT undetectable. But there are other methods you might choose to use instead. Let’s look at nine more methods, and test out each one to see how effective it is.

Use Different Prompts with ChatGPT

Using ChatGPT is pretty simple – you give it a prompt and it responds with some output text. However, a lot of people use very similar and very basic prompts, like “Write 500 words about email marketing” or “Write my essay about the Civil War.”?

They fail to go any deeper than that, not providing the AI with more specific instructions. As a result, they tend to get very generic, repetitive content which is super easy for AI detectors like Originality.ai to spot.

So, one of the ways you can potentially make ChatGPT text undetectable is to use alternative, detailed prompts instead of your usual ones. Specifically, you can actually ask ChatGPT to write in a more natural, human way, like this:

Here’s the same method for topic 2:

And the results:

Sadly, this method just didn’t work for us at all. It had almost zero impact on the results. In fact, compared to the baseline, the scores actually got slightly worse with GPTZero, and remained the same with Originality. This method might work if you can find the right kind of prompt, but it didn’t produce the results we wanted to see.

Utilize a Paraphrasing Tool, Like QuillBot

One of the ways you can potentially bypass AI detection is by paraphrasing your AI text – which basically means shortening certain lengthy sections, cutting out some of the repetition, and moving words around to make the text flow a little differently.?

But that takes a lot of time and effort to do manually. So, you could try an automatic paraphrasing tool instead, like Quillbot.

Here, we tried it out on our two samples.

Let’s see how that affects the AI scores.

Sadly, the results are disappointing, once again. There’s only a tiny bit of improvement with the GPTZero score for topic 2, but the scores overall are still super high, and there’s no chance of passing AI detection or getting a 100% human score with this method.

Use Slangs Terms and Idioms

AI bots tend to talk quite robotically and in a very standardized, “proper” way. In other words, they don’t use the sorts of slang terms, colloquialisms, or idioms that the average person might put into their writing.

Maybe we can use this to our advantage, adding some slang and similar terms to our samples to possibly beat detection.?

Let’s see if it works

We’ll run the AI detection scans again to see the results.

There’s definitely some improvement, here, at least on the GPTZero side of things. Originality.ai wasn’t phased at all by the introduction of slang, but GPTZero gave us some very different scores, and the first article dropped all the way down to just 10% AI as a result of the changes.?

So, if you need to beat GPTZero or similar detectors, this method could help you out, but for beating Originality.ai, it’s not much use.

Adding Emotion

If you go and read the average AI text, you may notice that it seems to lack emotion and empathy. It’s often very direct, matter-of-fact, and scientific, without the emotive terms and concepts that personify human-written content.?

So, some writers believe that you can make ChatGPT undetectable by simply making the text more emotional.?

Let’s see if that theory is right, by adding some emotion, first to topic 1:

And then to topic 2:

Next, the all-important AI results:

Unfortunately, it’s bad news again. This method just didn’t give the results we wanted to see. Originality continues to be steadfast with its 100% AI scores, no matter what we throw at it, and GPTZero also provided very high scores – although the 87% AI for topic 2 was a little better than the baseline.

If you want to make ChatGPT 100% human, this isn’t the way.

Less Repetition

One of the issues that many people find when producing AI content is that it can sometimes feel like the same point is being made over and over, or that the same words are used again and again. In other words, ChatGPT content is pretty repetitive, and AI detectors can spot that repetition quite easily.

Making your AI content less repetitive and more surprising, with a greater mixture of words and sentence structures, may help to make it undetectable.

Once again, let’s test this method out, removing all signs of repetition from our two topics:

Next, let’s see the AI scan results.

Once more, it’s an uninspiring set of results. Even removing lots of repetitive elements from the two texts gave us only a marginal improvement in the scores. The best result was the 92% from Originality for topic 1, but it’s still far from the 100% human score that users want to see when they make ChatGPT undetectable.

Adding Diversity

Following on from the previous point about AI being repetitive, another way you could potentially “fix” it is by adding some more variety. That means more words, a greater range of sentence structures, and some more surprising and diverse elements that make the text feel innately more like a human wrote it, and less like it was made by AI.

We’ve tested this method here, adjusting our two samples manually to include some more variety in their structure, syntax, and flow.

Here’s what the detectors thought:

These results are a mixed bag. Clearly, topic 2 did a lot better than topic 1. Topic 1’s results were terrible, but for topic 2, our manual adjustments made an impact, dropping the AI score by around 30-40% in total. This suggests that there’s some value in this method, but it clearly requires a careful approach to get the results you want.

Point-of-View Writing

A lot of the time, ChatGPT just writes basic, generalized content, without adopting a specific viewpoint or stance on the subject it’s writing about. This is partly what makes the content so easy to detect – it lacks nuance or opinion of any kind, and is very robotic and repetitive, as discussed earlier on.

One way to possibly get around this is to write your ChatGPT text with a specific PoV, or point of view. Like you could ask it to “Write about prison life from the perspective of an ex-con” or “Write a marketing blog in the style of [insert the name of a popular, successful blogger here]”.?

These detailed, PoV prompts tend to produce more unique, original, and engaging ChatGPT text, which may also be less likely to be detected.

Let’s see if the method works, adding a PoV to each test

Next step – the AI detection scans.

Once again, we have a mixed set of results. Topic 1 failed pretty badly, without even making a dent in the 100% AI score from Originality. Topic 2 did better, dropping below the 50% AI mark on GPTZero and reaching a respectable 70% on Originality.?

That shows that this method might have legs and could help you make ChatGPT undetectable, if you can find the right kind of PoV prompts.

Extra Perplexity

There are lots of different characteristics that separate human text from AI text. Perplexity is one of those characteristics. In simple terms, it basically means how complicated the text is in terms of the word choices and sentence structures. Humans tend to write with a lot of perplexity, while AI doesn’t.

Asking ChatGPT (or another AI tool) to write with more perplexity may therefore help you get past AI detectors and make your AI text undetectable.

Let’s apply this idea to our two samples:

And now let’s see what the AI detectors have to say:

Clearly, there’s a bit of value to be found in this method, but not as much as we’d like to see. It had no impact at all on the Originality scores, which is very disappointing, but GPTZero scans were a bit better, especially on topic 2, which dropped down to 65% AI.?

Maybe if you use this method together with some of the others, it could help you make your ChatGPT content less detectable.

Adding Mistakes?

Last but not least, we come to our final method: adding intentional mistakes to your text.

That might sound like a weird idea. After all, text with mistakes in it looks amateurish and can even be difficult or annoying to read. However, it’s still a possible way to get past certain AI detectors, as AI bots like ChatGPT don’t tend to make typos and errors like humans do. So, if you add errors to your text, it can look more human.?

On the downside, as stated, it also looks way less professional, which is why we don’t recommend this method. But we’re still going to test it out.

Here’s the same method applied to topic 2:

And now, the AI results:

Here, we have totally opposing results from the two scanners. Originality wasn’t fooled at all and still gave 100% AI readings for both texts. But GPTZero was different, which more better scores and even a 4% (96% human) rating for topic 2.?

So, this method may indeed work against some detectors, but still isn’t a reliable or useful option in most cases, as it makes your text look a lot worse.

Who Needs to Make ChatGPT Undetectable?

We’ve seen how to make ChatGPT content undetectable. But you might still be wondering about who actually needs to do this, and what kinds of people should try these methods and make ChatGPT undetectable more human and less AI.?

Well, there are actually a lot of benefits to making ChatGPT less detectable, and many different groups of people can enjoy those benefits, including:

Students

ChatGPT has changed the academic world enormously. Now, students can use ChatGPT whenever they need a helping hand with homework, essays, studying, or research. It’s a great study aid when used responsibly, but if you hand in work that looks like it was made by AI, you could get punished. Making your content undetectable helps you evade punishment.

Businesses

Many businesses, too, are turning to ChatGPT and other AI tools to help grow their brands. You can use ChatGPT to produce all sorts of content for your digital presence, like webpages, blog posts, articles, and even emails or social media marketing.?

But it can reflect badly on your brand if your content was obviously made by AI. Humanizing it helps you make content that is more engaging and appealing to your audience.

SEO Professionals

Google’s algorithm has been recently updated to punish repetitive or unhelpful content, and a lot of AI articles fall into that bracket since they’re so repetitive and generic.?

Humanizing your AI content can therefore be a great way to stay ahead of the game and strengthen your SEO position, enjoying better Google results rankings, more clicks, and more traffic to your sites.

Make ChatGPT Undetectable with BypassGPT

There are lots of reasons to make ChatGPT undetectable. It can help you enjoy all the speed, convenience, and ease that AI content creation brings, while avoiding the downsides – like SEO issues or penalties if you get caught using AI. And, as this guide shows, there are numerous ways to make ChatGPT undetectable.

But, of all the methods we tested, only one of them was able to get perfect results across the board. That method was BypassGPT, and it’s easily the top option for those who want to consistently and reliably beat detection.?

So, the next time you need to humanize ChatGPT content, turn to BypassGPT for the very best results.

Why would I fire someone for using the best time saving tool available? Our work isn't a creative writing contest. I pay for results, not methods. I honestly don't care if content is generated through AI. I just want it to be accurate and coherent. In fact, I encourage all my employees to use ChatGPT as much as they can in their day to day jobs. I'm disappointed they don't use it more.
