Ok, let's talk about boring videos. You know the ones, inductions, safety compliance, training content, instructional videos... I could go on.?
There’s nothing worse than sitting through one of these videos wondering when it will end how soon you can blot it out of your memory.?
So how can you avoid creating a video that makes your audience want to staple their eyes and ears shut? The answer is pretty simple. Just make it interesting. I know, it's much easier said than done. ?
Most people will put some sort of effort into making their top of funnel marketing video content fun and engaging but it’s all too common for businesses to miss opportunities when it comes to all of their other video communication.?

Emerald Grain needed to communicate key site details and compliance information to growers over the 2020 harvest period. Instead of making a super dry and boring video, we injected a bit of humour and personality into it so that it was enjoyable to watch and gave the viewer something to connect with.

Southern Cross Kids Camps wanted to make a fun safety video that not only set some important boundaries for the campers but also built excitement and set the tone for what they could expect from their time on camp. This video has got to be one of our favourite videos we've ever made!
Sculptform create super cool architectural cladding products. The issue they were finding though was that because their product was so unique and much easier and simpler than other products, customers didn’t realise how easy and quick it was to install. We helped them fix this by making some installation videos that reinforced the value of the product.
The moral of the story is don’t be afraid to invest more time and resource into videos with seemingly dry subjects. Interesting and fun videos contribute to the growth of your company and the health of your culture whereas boring videos are a drain on budgets and attention spans.?
