How to make 2025 the best year yet...

2024 might have brought joy & success for some, sadness & loss for some and everything in between for others. For some, must have been a turning point towards something extraordinary, for others turning point towards slippery slope of not so great experiences. However the year might have been, whatever those experiences felt like, here's the best part. We can all start over now. Start now and achieve what we always wanted to achieve, Your age, circumstances, situations, other people, other things have very little role to play if you are determined and unreasonable.
Being non negotiable with the goal & unreasonable with the efforts is the key! nothing can distract you
A year from now, you will wish you had started today
Whatever you goal might be - whether its fitness journey, making that career move with up-skilling, healing a relationship or create mindfulness and build monk-like peace - Today is the day to begin, an year from now, you will be proud of yourself that you started.
For any life goal to become reality, just getting started gets us to 50% there, consistently showing up for 21 days (or more) takes us to 90% and remaining 10% is only for putting in actual effort to make it happen. 90% is start + consistently showing up. Show up at that gym no matter what - whether you are feeling unmotivated, have another critical priority to handle, or you just don't feel like it.
Show up anyway!. Most don't make it, not because they can't, its because they won't. If you just keep showing up, you will realize that you are in the top 1% already because, most give up on dreams while trying, just because the journey is hard, boring or long. So your competition will clear up by itself if you just stick to your goal, no matter what.
Opposite of winning is not loosing. Its quitting. I believe in this 100% and have seen this manifesting over and over again in my life & lives of many others that I am closely associated with. I always admired those who keep going no matter what until they reach their goal. And only those get to enjoy the fruits of their hard work.
The goal is not hard or impossible - its what you are willing to put at stake - If my goal is to achieve perfect health metrics in 6 months and reverse health conditions, i should be willing to put my sleep, comfort of bed, excuses at stake and show up consistently to my trainer to do his/her best. Coach will then be inspired by your dedication to your goal and then be unreasonable to help you succeed at your goal.
Remember, every teacher loves their best student, because the dedicated students bring purpose to teacher's profession. Remind them of why they are doing, what they are doing. After going through mediocre commitment from students for a long time, it will be breath of fresh air for them to see you. Though you are are just beginning to learn, you will teach them & challenge them to sharpen their saw,
"Discipline is doing what you hate to do- but doing it like you love it" - Mike Tyson
Discipline is contagious: You first infect your coaches with your discipline, then your peers then every else that comes in your path. You will anyway achieve your goal, but you will go onto inspire scores of people to the way and possibly transform their lives.
Passion is contagious: Passion is contagious too! Its not just boring execution but the natural and genuine excitement you show when you talk about your journey or goals, it inspires others to take actions.
Success is a habit: At your school or work, you might have come across habitual winners. Anything you do repeatedly, becomes a habit. Interestingly, loosing is a habit too, we tend to give up too early in the game because its just too familiar to give up. Reverse is true as well, winning becomes a habit as we continue to push over the line more often than usual. We embrace pain, boredom and get through the line to become habitual winners.
And finally, my favorite: What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. We build up our ability, endurance & finally the character of our bodies & minds by continuously exposing ourselves to something larger than we know was possible before. Pushing the envelope and eventually, expanding our horizon way beyond we thought was possible.
To sum up, today is the day to start over - Pick up that audacious goal, a goal you know is almost impossible to achieve, but is very critical for your health, well being, life, work or relationships.
Please share whats that one goal you would love to checkbox this year and what are you willing to put on line for achieve that success.
Wishing you all a milestone year, year thats best yet and something that will you will remember for rest of your lives!
