If you’re like me, and you have Instagram or TikTok, you probably see a lot of financial advice online. Some of it seems legit, and some of it … sounds a little too good to be true.

And there’s no financial topic you see online that attracts more scammers and bad advice … than LLCs.

This week, a friend of mine sent me this video:

I won’t get too deep into this video, and instead I’ll just say it’s mostly inaccurate, extremely misleading, and can get you in a ton of trouble with the IRS.

But this isn’t even the worst that you’ll find online about LLCs, so I figured we would do something new: start releasing podcast episodes JUST about what you see online, whether it’s legit, and if so, how it works.

So this week on the podcast, we talk about LLC’s: what they are, what they aren’t, and some common misconceptions you see online.

And yes, I talk about why the advice in that Reel is so ridiculous.
