“How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”

I am writing this with a heart full of mixed feelings!

Looking back at the amazing journey in IBM for over a decade. There are no words, though, that can express how profoundly grateful I am for such a rich career and the tremendous privilege of working with the brightest and most talented professionals in the industry that helped me every day achieve what seemed to be impossible at the time. I have learned a lot from you all and have had a fantastic opportunity to grow, both professionally and personally. 

I will remember IBM fondly; it will remain an outstanding highlight in my career.  This is a truly special place, made so by generations of IBMers that are defined by an essential set of great values. It’s been my great honor and privilege to be part of IBM and the exceptional leadership team that is so spectacularly skilled and endlessly optimistic. I am so proud of all that we achieved together and confident that everything we have learned during this experience will help shape the rest of our career and better position us to succeed in every step of the way. I have valued this remarkable opportunity immensely and will take valuable memories, one of many gifts, with me to the next imperative chapter. 

I got inspired by working with the most innovative, people and organizations, to build creative solutions transforming businesses and disrupting industries. This has evolved my ambitions and matured my deep passion for technology to change the world and make it a better place. The essence of this personal transformation has manifested my ---true purpose and will certainly shape the next part of my journey and my future personal and professional endeavors. 

I have been honored with invaluable long-lasting friendships with colleagues and clients globally that I will continue to cherish forever. I am blessed to be able to turn over the business reins in such a strong position for future success.  This is the right time, the right choice, and the right step forward for me to make new beginnings and continue to create history. I am full of hope and optimism, more idealistic and more confident than ever that the best days lie ahead. I favor thinking of this as "See you later" instead of "Goodbye."
