From the Dead Era to the Golden Era

From the Dead Era to the Golden Era

This week, we have welcomed in a ‘Golden Era’ and said goodbye to the gloomiest four years of Millennial life we’ll (hopefully) ever have to endure: The Dead Era of 2020-24.

We remember the doleful summers, the eruption of two wars, dead pets, Jenna Marbles leaving the internet (I cried, please for the love of God come back), we saw the ugliest Olympic ceremony in memory, supposedly esteemed degree-educated bureaucrats being unable to define a woman, some of the largest child traffickers and abusers convicted or exposed, and the Commonwealth welcomed a new King with a bleedingly affronting portrait…

We were beleaguered by Prince Harry and his apparently self-estranged wife on a Netflix special. Deranged Reddit kids were seen throwing cans of beans on heritage paintings while their activist peers were almost run over by cars (because they were sitting on the road). People have been dying from vaccines, dying from flu, dying in war, dying from Fentanyl, and a man set himself on fire . Protesters apparently want to kill babies and people are sending aggressive emails to employers with the intention of ending careers. For four years it felt like death was everywhere.

During this time, regular people couldn’t make a joke about anything. Comedians Tony Hinchcliffe, Shane Gillis, Dave Chappelle, Matt Rife, Jon Stewart, Louis C.K, and Kevin Hart all fell victim to the pitchfork mob that dug up situations from their past leading them to cancel shows or events to maintain a healthy public opinion. A lot of good people were either forced to make ugly apologies and shun themselves from society or hang out in fringe communities and remain embarrassed for a little while. What was it supposed to prove?

There were doctors and scientists during Covid who, despite their professional opinions, were labelled conspiracy theorists. There was even one case where a molecular virologist M.D had their LinkedIn deleted by the platform because they held the view that a vaccine generally takes ten years to make, not one. People genuinely believed that ‘Bill Gates’ and whoever else had the ‘technology readily available’ were able to swoop in and ‘save the day’ with their ‘team of amazing doctors’. The media were doing their best to slander Joe Rogan, Elon Musk, and Peter Dutton. Even I, as a student, came under the firing range. Ironically, most comedians who were hunted down have bounced back strong and have successful careers. So, what did it truly achieve?

The harsh attempt made to stop people speaking their truth was the reason why the Democrats lost the US Presidential election. It was a top-down approach. The bureaucracy of big government used impressionable, time poor, low-information voters to condemn ordinary people for speaking their truth. In the end, people didn’t want virtue-signalling, do-nothing policies designed for 0.1 per cent of the population. And they’re sick of being forgotten about by their own government.

What we saw was a vote to bring the world back to a level of common sense and human decency. I used to hear people saying that sense isn’t common. When ideologies get too radical, and people start to feel like they have to self-censor, that’s when the line has gone too far one way and stripping the wayward ideologies back to bare basics has proved to be inevitable.

Men were tired of not being allowed to be men, and women were tired of competing against men in … everything. This isn’t only about making America Great Again, though it does stand to reason, it sets a tone for keeping Western constitutional democracy safe, functional, and predictable. It’s not surprising that Donald J Trump won because the Biden-Harris Administration simply lost. As Mark Cuban put it on X, Trump ‘won fair and square’. Even though their team sat in denial hoping for a comeback and now wants a recount. Democrat voters are crying on TikTok still blindly wondering how we got here. Perhaps it would pay to do some self-reflection at this time and leave the running of the country to those who know what they’re doing.

We can look forward now to a ‘Golden Era’, as Vice President JD Vance puts it, of prosperity and good old fashioned saying what you want. People can once again achieve their dreams without the fear of being chased after by an angry mob or without being gaslit and guilt-tripped into believing they’re racist (when they are not).

The Harris campaign lied about Trump’s intentions in not supporting women’s health, even though he ‘has been very clear that he will not sign a federal ban when he is back in the White House ’. When Roe v Wade was overturned, it wasn’t prohibiting abortion altogether, it was returning power to the States as intended.

Michelle Obama’s dubious story inserted into a rally speech on November 4 about an old lady she met ‘with that twinkle in her eye’ and the ‘red and white polka dot bandana’ was the sort of stuff that made you think she was a character in a Disney movie instead of a calcified Democrat millionaire trying to convince you to vote. The in-authenticity was at its worst when the cast of the Marvel/Avenger movies came rushing out with a cringy scripted video pretending to ‘be of service’.

The main message viewers are left with, ‘down with democracy’ … ‘together, we’re gonna tear down democracy’. Finally, they settled on a man’s voice saying, ‘I’m Kamala Harris and I am down with democracy.’ Yes, I’m sure ‘democracy’ would have made a crater in the Earth that Aristotle would have been rolling in his grave from had we had another four years of the Biden Harris-Obama racket.

People left a rally in droves after Beyonce spoke for four minutes at Harris’ event but failed to perform a song. Cardi B had trouble at the podium when a teleprompter glitch left her speaking nervously with the crowd. The claim about Kamala Harris working at McDonald’s remains, at best, questionable. McDonald’s even came out with a press release saying they could not find a record of Kamala Harris dating back to the 80s, although the company admitted to not keeping all employee records from that time.

There are so many red flags from the Democratic party, or the Diddy Party, as I like to joke. They should change their colour to red, and the Republicans should be green, so we forever remember the disaster they put the world through between 2020 and 2024.

The sheer landslide and domination of the popular vote for Donald J Trump in the face of the constant string of lies and defamatory attempts made by major media networks, along with assassination attempts, impeachments, and indictments to slander Trump – all of it simply pulls back the curtain on the rigorous and sickening efforts the Democrats made to stop him from winning. None of it quelled common sense logic and honest rhetoric from coming out on top.

Let this be a reminder to never go back to the cesspool of the hate-filled Dead Era that disguised itself as ‘inclusive’, ‘kind’, and ‘empathetic’ but instead made wrong the lives of so many regular beautiful people.
