How to lose the forest for the trees?

Yesterday I was in two separate events. One was an event to launch skills for the automotive sector and the other was a panel discussion on "Is the auto industry in the crossroads?"
In the first event, I was shocked to see the training for skills that were being planned had no relevance to the current needs of the industry. What surprised me was that for 4W EV technician training the technology partner is a 2W vendor who still has only ICE-based vehicles.
I have been in the teaching and training industry for more than a decade on a personal level, learnt that unless you have hands-on experience in the respective area offering textbook-based stuff is not going to help!
In fact, what surprised me was there was a clutch of training that already existed but was being marketed as sector-specific which to me is like "OLD WINE IN THE OLD BOTTLE WITH A NEW LABEL"

I am stunned to see a Cyber Security course that needs a minimum Engineering Degree. What was more galling was there is no course to address Electronic Manufacturing and I know personally there is a huge need for the same.
Agencies spend money only on glitzy brochures and websites and sign up agencies that peddle courses from theoretical knowledge when hands-on training is needed
The second panel discussion was even more hilarious. The whole discussion was on the EV industry and the focus was on batteries and what will happen to the industry as Lithium Ion batteries are in their end of life! But the panellists never touched the topic that BLDC Motors and the Controllers are the real issues and today's EV industry is just an assembling industry! The Auto industry is reinventing Hybrid Vehicles and that was never discussed. This makes me recollect the famous Murphy's Law "IF YOU HAVE HAMMER IN THE HAND EVERYTHING LOOKS LIKE NAILS". In recent times I see the panellists are tunnel visoned or speak generics and never confront the problems!
It is high time we get feedback from the Industry before we do anything that impacts the society
