How to Lose Customers and Annoy People

How to Lose Customers and Annoy People

We've all been there before.?

?On the phone with a customer service representative who doesn't seem to care about our problem, or dealing with a company that doesn't seem to value our business.?

?It's frustrating, and often leads to us taking our business elsewhere. In fact, a lack of customer appreciation is one of the top reasons many businesses lose customers.?

?Would you rather do business with a company that makes you feel valued and appreciated, or one that makes you feel like an annoyance??

?Chances are, you'll choose the former every time.?

?But what if we are missing the big picture here??

?How is it that the industries with the most complexity and often “smartest” people provide the “worst” service.

?(Yes, US Airlines and Banks we are talking to you…)

?What if they are on to something???

?Perhaps the cusp of a new business revolution ...

?A new golden age where it’s all about pissing off your customers, and they better like it!

?It sure explains why they relegate their customer service to call centre outsourcing funny farms.

?So, let’s follow their lead….

?If you're looking to lose customers and annoy people, here are a few surefire ways to do it!

?Ignore Them

One of the best ways to make your customers feel unappreciated is to simply ignore them. Whether they're reaching out to you via phone, email, or social media, make sure you never respond to their inquiries.?

?If you really want to go the extra mile, make sure your website doesn't have any contact information listed anywhere.?

?That way, they’ll never be able to reach you even if they wanted to!

?Disregard Their Concerns

?This is another great way to be a pioneer in this new golden age.?

?If your customers are “stupid” enough to take the time to reach out to you with a problem or complaint, make sure you brush them off without so much as a second thought!?

?After all, their concerns are probably not valid anyway, right??

?Why waste your time listening to them when you could be doing something more productive – like drinking a beer or taking a nap??

?Make Them Wait Forever

?Nothing says "I don't appreciate your business" quite like making your customers wait forever for a resolution to their problem.?

?Whether it's on hold on the phone or waiting for a response to an email, make sure they never feel like their issue is a priority.?

?In fact, make it clear you’d rather be removing ticks off a dog.

?Make them wait! The longer they do, the more frustrated they'll become—and that's exactly what you want!

?So, If you're looking for ways to drive away business and annoy people, the tips above should do the trick!?

?------

However, if you actually think the “smart” visionaries are full of it.. and you really want to keep your customers happy and build a successful business, make sure you do the opposite of everything listed above.?

?Trust us—your bottom line will thank you for it in the long run.
