How Not to Lose Anything When Moving
You’ve sold your house and now it’s time to pack…but before you start to pack, it’s time to purge! If you have not used something in the past year, it’s time to let it go. Start your purge by going room to room looking for things you can sell. My wife, Lynn, has found success selling on the user-friendly app Offer Up, she even calls it “exciting and addicting” as the offers come in. What you don’t sell, donate to a charity, such as the Salvation Army or Goodwill. Once you sell and give away the stuff you aren’t moving, you’ll decrease the chances of losing the stuff you want to move!
Now it’s time to get prepared to pack. Lynn’s must-have packing items are boxes (LOTS of boxes), packing paper, packing tape, and a black sharpie. Lynn’s motto for packing is “Label, Label, Label.” She labels every box with the sharpie, but not just label the tops of the boxes, the sides too so you can see it when the boxes are stacked up.
