How Long Are Permits Taking?

Keep in mind that durations can change quickly and the process involves initial submittal preparation, first review duration, multiple rounds of review, additional outside departments required, fee payments, and city or client delays.

It’s important to have a team that doesn't miss steps and information to avoid unnecessary delays.

This is critical to meet project schedules.

Is this just for building permits or is site/civil permits built into these timeframes?

Casey McCormick Can you give some more context for this list? Are these permit duration averages across ALL types of permits? Or is this residential, commercial? Thanks!

Great info thanks. I am an IDPH pre-qualified swimming pool architect and first reviews for pools are approximately 12 weeks for FIRST reviews. Typically 3-5 months total.
