How Long did it take You to Learn to Ride a Bike?

I really don't remember how long it took me to learn to ride a bike, but I do remember how long it took me to learn to ride a horse!

I was about 5 years old when I had my first ride.

Mom hoisted me up on my...

What I thought was huge..

Shetland pony!

I thought I was the king of the castle!

Know what happened next?

That pony was really smart!

He headed straight for the clothesline.

I'd say my first ride lasted about 45 seconds.

Bahahaha!

But I was smart too.

I learned how to lay flat on my pony's back and miss the clotheslines.

There were 6 of them to duck.

Actually, I think if I were to have a choice, riding horses would far and away surpass riding a bike.

-In my humble book of opinions.

You see, on the ranch, the roads were really bumpy and quite a challenge to conquer on a bicycle...

Until I had my motor bike!!!

Back then, you only needed a learners license to ride a motor bike up to a certain size.

-And you only needed to be 14 years old.

How cool is that!

Now I had power to control...

Actually, at first it tried to control me, but I soon learned how to get the upper hand.

So I would say that I learned to ride my pony in 10 minutes, my motor bike in 20 minutes and a bicycle in a week or so.

What about you?

I'd say that the only reason it took so much longer to learn to ride my bicycle was because riding my pony and then my motor bike were so much more fun...

In my humble...perhaps not so humble point of view.

So...

How long did it take you to learn to ride your bike?

Or was there something else that was more alluring?

You know, I can understand.

In this world of "shiny objects" it is easy to get drawn down a "rabbit hole" so to speak.

How many "rabbit holes" have you been down?

Oh! Wow!

That's a lot!

I'll bet I beat you!

I have had more than my share of "rabbit holes!"
