How to Lie?

Once I had to undergo some minor surgery. Doctor had told by evening I would be discharged. also he is likely to use general anaesthesia. We were only two staying self and wife. We decided we wont tell other relative as it’s just a minor operation. Doctor had called us at 0800 hrs in morning. We promptly reported at 0745 hrs and the process started. After some time anaesthesias had arrived but he choose spinal cord anaesthesia. All went well and by 1030 or so I was shifted to a private room.

               In the evening my wife Ujwala went home for short while and during that time some visitors had come to see me. As she reached home she saw a series of missed calls on landline from her mother. She rang back and a series of questions started from why you could not attend my call? To at this hours husband (me ) should be in office? So where you were and why? The grand finale was “with whom you had gone?” she just could not speak lie and forced to narrate whole story.

               Next morning she had again gone home to get some essential. Now she found my daughter’s CALL AWAITING FOR HER. Once again a series of question where you were? Why? With whom?  Etc etc. She could not hold any more and had to tell the truth.

So a lady of 50 plus was questioned by her mother as well as her daughter and she just could not lie.

I wish such practice should come in corporate or business world where nobody can lei? But how? Do you have some  ideas? If yes please share
