How to not let stress age you

How to not let stress age you

In a recent podcast (episode #569), I talked to Dr. Greg Kelly,?author, researcher, and senior director of Neurohacker, about aging, brain health, the mind-brain-body connection, and tips for aging well!?

Gregory Kelly is Director of Product Development at Neurohacker Collective, naturopathic physician (N.D.), and author of the book Shape Shift. He was the editor of the journal Alternative Medicine Review and an instructor at the University of Bridgeport in the College of Naturopathic Medicine, where he taught classes in Advanced Clinical Nutrition, Counseling Skills, and Doctor-Patient Relationships.??

Dr. Kelly has published hundreds of articles on natural medicine and nutrition, contributed three chapters to the Textbook of Natural Medicine, and has more than 30 journal articles indexed on PubMed. His areas of expertise include nootropics, anti-aging and regenerative medicine, weight management, sleep, and the chronobiology of performance and health.?

As Dr. Kelly points out, we are only beginning to understand the importance of senescent cells and our mind, brain and body health. As we age, everyone accumulates these senescent cells in their body, which are types of “stress cells”.?They can contribute to symptoms of aging, such as aches and discomfort, slow workout recoveries, and sluggish mental and physical energy associated with that “middle age” feeling. (Senescent is actually how we get the word “senile”.)??

Senescent cells are also known as “Zombie Cells”.? Even though they are old and worn out, and no longer serve a useful function for our health, they can still take up space and nutrients from our healthy cells if they get “stuck” and encourage other healthy cells to become senescent (called the “bystander effect), especially if we are in a state of toxic stress over long periods of time, contributing to worse mental and physical health outcomes as these cells accumulate.?

When we are young, the immune system will typically be great at finding senescent cells. As we get older, however, the immune system tends to gradually become less proficient in lots of different ways; one of these is with senescent cells—some senescent cells may get missed. Over time, this can result in gradual accumulation of senescent cells.?

Thankfully, recent research has shown that there are ways to prevent senescent cells from getting “stuck” and affecting our wellbeing as we age. Called the “aging breakthrough of the decade”, scientists have found that certain natural ingredients, called senolytics (after the Latin for “old” and “to destroy”), help promote healthy aging by encouraging the body to get rid of these stuck “zombie cells”. They do this by encouraging senescent cells to finally go through apoptosis, or “cell death”.

As Dr. Kelly notes, these ingredients, only discovered in the last 10 years, have the potential to completely change the game when it comes to our brain and body health. Fisetin, for example, is an ingredient that can support tissue health by helping prune away these stressed cells, while piperlongumine, an extract from the Asian long-pepper plant, helps promote both senolytic (the pruning of these “zombie cells”) and immune function!

However, not just any senolytic will do. Zombie cells are really good at hiding and changing the healthy cells around them, so it is important that, when including senolytics in our daily health regimen, we make sure we are getting the right quality and quantity needed to support our cell health as we age.??

That’s why Neurohacker has focused on 9 clinically-tested, non-GMO, vegan and gluten-free senolytic ingredients that support different aspects of eliminating senescent cells. Called Quaila Senolytic, you only need to take this product once a month to help support better aging and longevity! It includes senolytics like the abovementioned fisetin and piperlongumine, as well as quercitin (one of the first senolytics that researchers identified in 2015) and unique, patented blends of senolytics called senactiv? and longvida?, which help support the management of senescent cells in the body.??

Qualia Senolytic is a supplement specifically formulated to help bring the creation and removal of senescent cells back into a healthy balance. It does this by, figuratively speaking, promoting the pruning away of senescent cells. Its goals are similar to those of pruning a plant: support efficient use of cellular resources, encourage growth of more youthful cells by making “room” in tissues for them, and ultimately to support tissue health and appearance—promoting whole-body rejuvenation.?

And, for a limited time, my followers can go to?neurohacker.com/LEAF?for up to $100 off their order of Qualia Senolytic! When you use code?LEAF?at checkout, you can even get an additional 15% off!
