How to Let Go of What's Out of Your Control

How to Let Go of What's Out of Your Control

??Here's your daily reminder of what's in your control:

And remember..

Doing a lot of thinking and ruminating about aspects of life that are not in your control is only going to cause you extra stress and frustration.

It's like that Mark Twain quote:

"Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured".

Holding on to anger, frustration, and upset over the parts of our life that we cannot control, and therefore cannot solve or fix, only causes us unnecessary harm.

If you find yourself getting upset about the past, the future, the media, politics, other people's behaviour and actions, or anything else out of your control, this is your reminder to let it go.

Take a few deep breaths.

Let go of any thoughts or feelings of tension around those issues.

Redirect your focus to what you can control: your state-of-mind, your words, your actions, your wellbeing, and how you choose to show up each day!

Do you agree or disagree with Mark Twain's quote that anger is like an acid? Let me know in the comments below.

P.S. Next week I'm hosting a live workshop on LinkedIn about how to improve procrastination on Wednesday, May 29th at 11am PST / 1pm CST / 2pm EST.

?

Do you catch yourself putting things off? Do you find you never get to the bottom of your to-do list?

?

If so then you may be interested in my free workshop.

?

And spoiler alert.. Procrastination is not a time management issue! It doesn't matter how busy your schedule is. Rather, it is a state-of-mind issue which is good news as it means it can be improved upon.?

?

Click here to RSVP and join me live. A replay recording will also be available for those who RSVP.

Wise advice from Mark Twain and yourself Tracey Gazel - that said social media is dumbing down the world at an alarming rate and sometimes words need to spoken. History is being forgotten and freedom is not free. Cheers.
