How to Let Go and Move On
You can do nothing about the past, you know that and I know that so why do you, and I and everybody else allow the past to come up?
You can try as hard as you’d like but you will not be able to change your past. So why is it so hard to let go?
The main reason is that we think that things should have gone a different way than they did. Why do we continue to hold onto the past and continue wishing that it would have been different? Why do we allow ourselves to cheat on our future with our past?
We need to be okay with allowing the past to have happened, and continue to move forward. We can learn from what happened and figure out a way to make it better.
The reason why you have to have mistakes in your past is so that we can learn from those mistakes and not make them in the future. You can’t become the person that you want to be unless you’ve gone through and been the person that you don’t want to be.
Think about the hardest time in your life. It’s not fun as you’re going through them, but I bet if I were to say would you want to change it right now? Most people would say no. The reason why is because you learned from whatever it was and it made you who you are.
You needed to go through what you went through. People grow when we are put under intense strain.
You have to learn to just let go.
Take a deep breath and accept it.
It happened exactly as it should have happened.
The worst thing that could happen is that something bad happens and you don’t learn from it.
The world is either happening TO you or it’s happening FOR you. If you feel like the world is happening to you then you have a victim mindset. The happiest and most successful people in the world look at the world as though it’s happening for them. Every single thing that happens, good or bad, is for their own benefit.
So, shift your perspective and have gratitude for that past and how it happened.
Don’t wish for it to be different because it can’t be and it’s made you who you are today. It comes down to full acceptance for the past, present, and future.
