How to Let Go of 2024 and Bring New Energy into 2025

New Year, new you? Unfortunately nothing magically changes at the stroke of midnight.

You are the same person bringing the same baggage, fears, beliefs, negativity, etc into the New Year. What baggage from 2024 did you bring into 2025?

One of the most overlooked ways to create a real change is letting go.

How often do you let go? What should you let go of?

Most people aren’t letting go of anything most days. They energetically store it somewhere in their body like one of these main areas:? their throat, chest, stomach or hips to deal with later.

WHEN is later? I’m being serious. When do you deal with the energy you took on to deal with later?

Typically you blow up at something else completely unrelated in the future that has nothing to do with anything and you have to apologize for it. Am I right?

I’ve been helping people let go my whole life. That’s a big part of what being a Spiritual Medium is. It’s helping my clients align their energy onto their best path. This can’t be done if you’re holding onto a bunch of negativity.

December is an intense month full of stress. How did you let that stress go before the clocks launched us into 2025? What stress from December are you still carrying in your shoulders, back, and hips? And the most important question, how do you let it go?

Letting Go Can Seem Hard - Until it isn't

Energetically, you carry your negative baggage like a backpack or a sweater.

You carry the old experiences you hold onto so you don’t repeat them. It’s a way to help you learn what not to do again, right? No.

Unfortunately, this is flawed, because energy doesn’t work this way. When you hold onto something negative, you are energetically designed to keep attracting that SAME type of experience to you regardless of the people or places you’re at to help you HEAL.

You energetically hold that energy until you can't anymore. You will let a little go by exploding, going for walk or exercising. But what if you knew how to let go whenever you needed to?

The goal is to feel free. Whole. Supported. For your body to feel like it is filled with light and love - because this is your energetic natural state.

How to Let Go

Your signs to let go are you will feel stuck or off. Your energy will feel low. You may find yourself turning to substances to “help” you feel better…note the substances allow more negative energies to come in.?You may feel tension in your body.

How often should you let go?

Throughout the day as needed.

Letting go of little things like a co-worker doing something stupid can be cleared in minute. A triggering phone call with family is going to take more time.?

?How to let go?

By design, there are so many ways you can let go. The fastest way to clear your energy is in nature. Go for a walk, a run, kayak, swim, a hike.?

Notice everything I’m recommending to outside is moving. You want to move your body to move the energy. As you’re moving your body, you give that energy you’re clearing to God, Universe, Source. Whatever you want to call it.

I also mentioned water a lot. Water is powerful when it comes to letting go. If you have access to the ocean, lake, river or a stream, that’s a great place to go in nature. When I used to work with clients at my house, I would hold a letting go workshop in my pool. It was so powerful because water helps you move the deep energy quickly. It’s why I have retreats on the beachfront, steps away from being able to touch the ocean.

You can also breathe. Take a deep cleansing breath in, gather all that negative energy in your body and push it out through your mouth on the exhale letting it go. I do this, often in session when I’m taking on my clients energy to feel it all and then doing this quickly to let it go in my body.

Other things you can do to let go: journal, paint or write. But you’re going to have to destroy what you create. Otherwise it holds onto the energy. If you have a stack of journals in the corner of your closet, I guarantee there is negative energy stored in that area of your closet. When I lived in Ohio I liked to burn words and energetically let go as the paper burned. But now I live in California and we’re afraid of fires so I could shred the words and walk it out to the recycle bin and let go again…but that’s a lot of work.?

Just make sure that when you let go, you’re not just dropping that energy inside your house. I have lots of copycats out there. One posted pictures to social media of a letting go she did with a team. They tore up pieces of paper and put it in a pile in the middle of the floor. Where is that energy now and still to this day? In the middle of that office floor.?

The more you clear your energy, the better the energy is that you bring into 2025.

Remember letting go is something you want to do everyday, throughout the day as needed. It’s the biggest game changer for your energy. Without doing this, there is no where for all that positive energy you’re trying to bring in to go in the new year.?
