How Leaders Are Using AI To Be More Effective

One of my coaching clients has recently moved into an executive role.
He was feeling overwhelmed by the massive scope of this new position.
So, I suggested that he create a 90-day plan.
As we started to draft the plan together, I had an idea.
“Let’s go into ChatGPT to create the plan.”
We crafted a really thoughtful prompt, and in just 30 seconds, his plan was created.
It was amazing!
This situation made me think…
Will we get lazy if we start using AI to think for us all the time?
Will we lose our ability to think?
My conclusion is that if we use AI the right way, it will only enhance our impact and effectiveness.?
Instead of replacing your thinking, AI can free you up to focus on what truly matters.
Like the situation I described above, instead of spending our precious time writing the plan, we could focus on how to strategically implement the plan!
Here are the top 3 ways that AI will help leaders to be more effective:?
1. You can focus on outcomes and results.?
AI allows you to spend less time on low-value tasks and more time on results. Instead of getting stuck in process-heavy work, you can concentrate on strategy, vision, and execution.
2. You can save time by minimizing data-driven and repetitive tasks.
If AI can draft a plan, analyze data, summarize a report, or automate repetitive tasks, let it. The more you delegate to AI, the more mental energy you have for high-impact decisions and problem-solving.
3. You can use your new-found time to build relationships and a high-performing team.
AI can’t replace the trust and relationships that great leaders build. With AI handling routine work, you can invest your time in coaching, mentoring, and strengthening your team culture.
I am always a believer in embracing the future.?Don’t hold on to old ways of working.?
If you’re still doing things manually that AI can do faster, it’s time to rethink your approach.
The leaders who adapt will have an edge over those who resist.
Ask Yourself These Questions to Use AI Most Effectively:
? What can AI do faster or better than you?
? How can you use AI to be quicker and more efficient so that you can focus on what really matters?
AI isn’t here to replace leadership…it’s here to enhance it.
The smartest leaders will be the ones who use it strategically.?
How are you currently using AI to enhance your leadership practice?
