As leaders, sometimes events impacting your organisation are out of your control so it is vital that you are aware of how you respond to the event as this response will impact the overall outcome.

How effectively you respond is determined by your level of Emotional Intelligence (EQ).

Having a higher EQ can give you the ability to respond to different events in a variety of ways, instead of relying on responses that have been conditioned by your individual experience and past. This can give you the flexibility to adapt to different situations and to better understand and empathise with the perspectives of others.
