How to Lead Anything? Learn the process to become a good leader!

In today’s world, most people want to assert themselves as leaders but often fail, ultimately losing the trust of those they encounter in life. I am addressing this in a straightforward manner, but it’s the truth. If you recognize such traits in yourself, it is advisable to steer clear. Such techniques will not enable you to lead; instead, you will begin to erode the trust of your colleagues and fail to build a circle that can support you in challenging times.

The difference between a leader and a bad leader. A bad leader tends to be loud and strives to present themselves as better than others, projecting an image of superiority in front of everyone. However, in their personal lives, they often experience failures and lack any goals beyond disrupting the lives of others.

Do not be like that at all, or you will miss out on many people, friends, and colleagues during your journey.

A good leader doesn’t need to declare their leadership; people naturally start following them and wish to remain by their side. When you feel lost, they will assist you in finding your way, prioritizing the well-being of those around them, including friends and colleagues, without selfish motives. They never engage in deceitful actions.

Coming to the point, “How to Lead Anything?”

Assume you are entering a place where nobody knows you, and nobody is familiar with your background. If you begin asking questions about something, people will start to notice you. After questioning, if you start receiving answers, it means you are gaining attention and beginning to establish your value. The next step is to try sharing valuable information with them, and if they begin to listen to you, it signifies that you are on the path to leadership.

Leadership is not a position that you can attain from anywhere; it’s a product of your thought process. If your thought process is valuable, positive, and supportive of others, you will begin to emerge as a leader. When you share valuable information, people will listen attentively, often more than once.

Being a good leader requires you to be a very calm person, consider others’ problems, find solutions for them, and sometimes even identify problems they may not be aware of, providing guidance for them to follow the right path.

For example, if you observe someone attempting something or someone engaged in an activity, or if you simply sense that you should offer them guidance to set them on the right course, start a conversation with them. They will begin to listen to you, much like you are reading this article. Nobody asked me to write it, but I am eager to assist others. So, if they happen to come across this, they can read it and begin to think in this manner, and, at the very least, endeavor to lead in various aspects of their lives.

Here’s another example:

Suppose you are on your way to the office, and your boss typically asks you for tasks to do. Instead of waiting for their requests, try to be proactive. You can simply send a message saying, “Hey, do you have anything for me today? I have some free time because I’ve nearly completed the tasks you assigned.” This way, your boss will begin to trust you more. By gaining their trust, you can start your journey towards becoming a leader.

I mention a boss here because it’s important to understand that the boss holds a position, but that doesn’t automatically make them a leader. They might not be aware of this approach, but if you follow it, they will likely appreciate your proactive attitude. Sometimes, they might even start emulating your working style, and in their eyes, you will be seen as a leader.

Here’s one more example:

If you hold a leadership position and notice that everyone listens to you only because of your title, but when you step away, they begin to complain and talk amongst themselves, it can be disheartening.?

So, what can you do to address this issue?

The solution is quite simple: change your working style. Instead of constantly pursuing them and sometimes micromanaging, ask them to provide updates only at specific times and set up automated reminders. This way, they will respond to automated notifications rather than you directly. To be an effective manager, focus on managing their work, not delving too deeply into their personal lives. Before leaving your desk, jot down your daily activities, assess how you can improve, and immerse yourself in positive articles to create a more positive environment around you.

Stop talking too much and occasionally sharing valuable knowledge without expecting anything in return can turn you into a good leader. I am certain that people will come to love you for it, indefinitely. Don’t focus on self-preservation; you are already in a strong position in your workplace. Instead, concentrate on supporting and helping others, as they are the ones who can remain with you over time. If you show them love, they will reciprocate, follow your lead, and stand by you in any circumstance. Begin writing down your own mistakes today and transform them into sources of positive growth.
