Music is the soul to our life. When you are sad you turn to music, when you are happy you turn to music, when you are doing nothing, you turn to music.
It has been such an irreplicable aspect of your life.
Similarly, while I was commuting from work to my room, I was also listening to music when the "Breathless" song by Shankar Mahadevan came across my feed!
I had listened to it years back. You also feel nostalgic when your once favorite music plays again. You try to play it again in order to cherish every moment of it.
As you are progressing in your cooperate world, you tend to forget those moments where you cherished every bit of it. Like you say, "It meant the world to me" or "I just want to be there".
Just a have moment with yourself and ask, when was the last time you said, "I just want to be there"?
Was it a year back? Maybe on New Year's Day or is it every day?

I wanted to point out that it's ok that you are very focused on your job, but you also need to know who you really are. Many of us, just subconsciously follow a pattern without actually knowing the outcome of it and pretend that we will have an amazing life one day.
Why just rely on hope when you have yourself who is really capable to do anything. If you don't believe what I meant, then ask yourself, "How did you even land in this job that you are working on?" if not ask this "How did I overcome most difficult problems in my life and still I am alive?"
As you are still continuing to read, you may notice that I have asked you questions which you don't ask yourself at all. In this busy schedule, I want you to take a break and just be with yourself and ask the questions that you wanted to ask to yourself but never made the courage to do so!
You will wonder that how much more capable you really are!
Just as Shankar Mahadevan sang the breathless, you too can "sing the song" of your choice and be the expert at it.
You are only lacking courage and your belief in doing something great.
