I showed the picture of the damaged CRJ that was just hammered by an A350 to my wife. She said "is that real?" Yep. As surreal as the images below are, this actually happened.

The CRJ does appear to be holding short slightly further from the hold line than they probably should have - but not by much. Although the A350 pilot adamantly claims they were on the centerline, that does not alleviate the need to ensure proper wingtip clearance. If in doubt stop.
Yea, I know, heavy drivers. You can't see your wingtip in some large aircraft. I remember - been there done that myself. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't your problem.
Atlanta's airport does have a boat load of notes about wingspans and taxiing. However, none appear to provide any guidance on this particular situation.
It looks like the A350 might have won.
Moral of the story - better to be safe than sorry.
