How to Knock-out a PMP? Exam in 2 hrs

What is the feeling you get when you think of a fight? Are you afraid because you are remembering the last time you lost an important fight? Was that fight really important to your self-esteem? Was that a fight for your life? Did your family depend on you to score the win-win of all times?

Well - we are going to briefly engage you in the idea that you could actually attend your PMP Exam as though you were a boxer - ready to enter the ring for the winning match.

Part of the success in anything you do is preparation. HOPING - WISHING- PRAYING - CRYING.... is not going to get it at all. Those things may be stages you go through to get you ready for Exam or game day but certainly should not be used alone as your winning strategy. Read the stories on the internet - speak to others that tried solo strategies that cut corners and sought to find the fastest way to pass the exam. 99% of them failed because the exam is not made by dummies. There is a strategy behind the exam and it takes time, perseverance, and a can-do attitude to overcome the learning challenges and endurance needed to finish strong. To Pass.

So do you have what it takes? You need to have a chat with yourself and really explore WHY you want the PMP Certification. You SHOULD BE approaching this with a conviction that you can do better work, be a positive asset your team, further your organizations strategic goals - in addition to making much much more money. By believing you can help others while helping yourself - you are driven to achieve exam success.

The 2 Hours Exam Goal. How to do it? If you are looking for a quick fix because your exam is tomorrow. Stop reading and use this time to sleep and give your brain the rest it needs for the battle ahead. What I am about to share IS NOT an over-night quick-fix scheme, nor a fast solution. If there were one - you would have discovered it by now and for some of you still reading - you would not have failed prior exams.

Your approach to the exam needs to be like a boxer sizing up his/her opponent. How much material is there? What are the blind spots? What information exist that you don't already know? What are your learning challenges? Believe me - we all have learning challenges/disabilities. Stop lying to yourself and pretending to know everything. You are scared of the exam BECAUSE you know you don't know it all and that is ok. Seek help filling the gaps rather than taking a chance on failing and pooping your pants in the process. Would you take expired birth control medication? HELL NO - I hear you loud and clear. Would you take boot-leg chemo meds not tried and proven to work. NO NO NO. Your PMP Exam is serious business.

Top 3 strategies to get your exam done in 2 hours

  1. Forgive yourself for not knowing everything and make a plan to study as long as it takes to review at least (at a minimum) 3 different PMP sources of material related to the current edition of the PMP Exam being offered. Book, flash cards, brain dump documents, math books, study groups, private coaching, group coaching, boot camp programs, and dedicated self-study sessions all deliver different levels of confidence to get you ready to ace your exam. You should choose your study buddy carefully. Most small groups end up with one person doing the homework and reading assignments and the others dragging along - not really participating. This is a no go relationship. Get out EARLY! Those not working will hold you back and demotivate you. You can still be their friend -- but after you pass the exam! AFTER!

2. Take time in your first practice exams to finish them no matter how long it takes. Watch the scores and compare to the hours used and watch your breaks taken. Many people call us up and ask how many test should they take. We say - as many as needed to get the desired results. Everyone is different. Everyone has different levels of dedication. Some people study only on the weekend and during that time they are listening to the football game in the background, answering the door for package deliveries, yelling at their kids to stop fighting -- you get the idea .. NOT VERY DEDICATED STUDYING. Others take off to local libraries, to coffee shops, to locations that they can get dedicated study sessions accomplished without any interruption. The more time you put into your study approach and more confident you will feel with the knowledge.

3. Once your scores start to go up you will automatically see your timing drop to the point where a test that took 4 hours now takes 3 hours and even less time as you take more test. It takes time to get the scores to go up and for the timing to come down. HPMC employs strategies based on your personality style and your level of dedication. Your level of education does not guarantee you will pass this exam at all.

There are many tough love moments because we are hired to get results - passing results - not be your best friend. WE ARE NOT ON A DATE. There are many steps for some and less for others. After a full assessment is done we deliver the combination that will work and if you are still struggling - we identify why. We are not afraid to hold you accountable to your promise to study. We will challenge you when you have not kept your promise to yourself and to your coach. Accountability to your coach and accountability to yourself is EVERYTHING! Time is valuable and TIMING is EVERYTHING!

So question your dedication with your ability to reach your planned goals. Until your goals are strong enough - Until you believe you deserve to pass your PMP Exam - you will continue to struggle and it does not have to go down this way. A fight with the right strategy and dedication is a winning knock-out combination.

A 2 hour PMP test is a show of knowledge command and dedication to what you are doing when you are doing it! The human brain is most powerful. Fire up your brain and use it to pass your PMP Exam!
