According to the statistics, there are only 8% of people who actually achieve them. I always struggled to keep a check on my new year resolutions until I started following the secrets. What are the secrets? Well, here’s a look
"Don’t let your work resolution fade away this year. Try ProofHub."
Publicize your goals to friends and family
We often try to keep our goals to ourselves and come out with it when we achieve it. If you are keeping them to you, there are lesser chances you will achieve them. Get support from your family and friends by telling them about your resolutions and listen to them what they want to accomplish for the year. You can put a person in charge of reminding you of your goals. Someone who calls you on regular basis, it can be your friend, cousin or colleague. They will give you a kick in the butt to get closer to your goal every day. And you can push them for their goals.
Make achievable resolutions
If you have a set of achievable resolutions on your list you will definitely no longer experience the discouraging act of going off track of your new year’s resolution. Often people plan big goals for themselves that are virtually not possible to reach. Try making smaller attainable goals to actually see meaningful progress. Choose the goals that are really important to you and if they are you important you are much likely to stick to them. Try to analyze the desire behind your resolution, be specific and see how you make resolutions that are achievable.
Make it a part of your life
For all those who lose hope when getting off track from the new year’s resolution - “It’s not whether you get knocked down, it whether you get up” - Vince. This holds true for all of us struggling with the resolutions. You need to understand that it takes about 3-4 weeks for getting into a new habit. And for this period we have to be patient about what new activities we are trying for our betterment. Just try to make it through the first month, the second month is definitely going to be easier and so on and gradually it will become a part of your life. Force yourself to stay on track when adapting to a new schedule or routine. And with time you won't even have to think about it anymore as it will simply be a part of your life.
Remind yourself why you want to achieve your resolution
Are you having trouble keeping your goals in the forefront of your mind always? This can be a reason for losing track of resolutions. Set an alarm or reminder to keep yourself aware of why you want to achieve your resolution. Don't let your resolutions fall by the wayside. Visualize yourself achieving the goals. How will your life unfold in a different way when you achieve it. Keep a picture of your goals in your mind to keep yourself reminded of it everyday.
If you are serious about your new year’s resolution, these secrets can be your motivation to achieve them. When you get the temptation to quit, go back, start getting motivated and resolve to start it again. Your journey maybe harder but you can get there if you if you have a strong will.

6 年GREAT article Vartika Kashyap ... Many New Year's resolutions are broken even before the end of January; often setting unrealistic & unattainable goals. Anyone plan on starting another new gym membership? :-)
