How to Keep Your Viewers From Leaving Your Profile Page by Swiping Left.

I want to share with you one Savvy Advanced Technique to Ensure Your Success on LinkedIn. This will help you get one step up from your competitors.

Would you advertise your competitors on your LinkedIn Profile Page? The answer for most us would be no way, but 90% of people on LinkedIn do exactly this every day. With 444 Million users on LinkedIn, you want to stand out from the crowd and be uniquely you. You don’t want to offer up your competitors before your viewer has had the opportunity to view your profile completely. After spending countless hours perfecting your personal profile this would be a darn shame. I am referring to the “People Also Viewed” section on the right-hand side of your profile page.I am sure you noticed it was there but really never paid that much attention to it. Now is the time to pay attention.

Now is the time to change this. This technique is a good start to keep them on your profile page a little bit longer. So how do you change this? Not to worry, this is an easy fix with a couple of clicks.

For my example, I will use Jeff Weiner's LinkedIn profile page, see screenshot below.

Under your profile picture in the top right-hand corner, hover your mouse onto your picture and a drop-down menu will appear, scroll down to privacy and settings. Choose manage and click.

Click on the Privacy tab and scroll down to “Viewers of this profile also viewed”. It will ask you to:

“Choose whether or not this feature appears when people view your profile. “Should we display “Viewers of this profile also viewed” box on your Profile page?”

This is where you swipe left, for a no. It will display saved and a green check mark, you are good to go now.

So if you want to keep people on your LinkedIn Profile Page a little bit longer, remove the “People Also Viewed”! I hope this strategy will help you in the future grab the attention of your viewer. One thing to remember is to make sure you give them a reason to keep reading your profile. Make sure the viewer knows how you help them.

Until next time, thank you for taking the time to read my blog today I hope you find it helpful. Remember I am just a click away!

To see what others see in the People Also Viewed, you have to navigate Profile > Edit Profile > View profile as. It always cracks me up when Reverend Father has some viewers who also viewed a bunch of photographers' models. Woo-hoo!!
