EVENTS? ?|? ?CURRENT ACTION PLAN? ?|? ?RESOURCES? ?|? ?GO TO SLACK?

There was a lot I imagined accomplishing this spring. It was gonna be May?and now here we are,?time absolutely flying. Instead of feeling behind, I'm thinking about how I can tweak the tasks on my wishlist to make them?easier or more festive for me. How to reframe or modify?the action so I'm anticipating an enjoyable experience, rather than avoiding it.?When it comes to my own climate advocacy, this week I think it will look like romanticizing an early morning of sipping tea out on my balcony while starting on a letter to the editor.?Maybe for you, it's?a beverage that pairs well with an Hour of Action? Or meeting up with a friend over lunch and scheduling a constituent meeting? Effective climate advocacy only works if we do.

Let's make this the week we go from thinking about doing something to getting it done.?We're all here, in the right place, with a clear roadmap for making a?truly transformative, lasting?impact. We just need to show up in a way that works for us.?

Right now,?add any action meetup to your calendar or pick an Action Playbook to knock out on your own. Do it for real! We get in, get out, get on with our week. All busy people, showing up between work and school and dog walks and happy hours. The resources make it simple. The community makes it a little more fun.

Scroll on for a demystifying 2-minute video, wins of the week, org news and storytime with two co-founders, an April photo dump, and more. Cheers!

For a better world,

The "interconnection queue" is the list of power generation projects that have requested to connect to the electric grid.?Grid operators review each project to assess its impact on the grid and to make sure that it will not compromise the reliability of the power system. CLIMATE CHANGEMAKERS ?? Co-founder storytime

Curious how Climate Changemakers got started? Two of the organization's co-founders, Eliza Nemser and Madeline Dyke, are both alumni of Williams College who met in 2019 for what was supposed to be a 30-minute Zoom call. The Williams College newspaper just ran a story on how that phone call went on to become one of the most robust climate advocacy hubs on the internet.?
