How to judge the quality of PPR pipe
1. Appearance : The inner and outer surfaces of the high-quality PPR tube should be smooth and flat, and there should be no defects such as air bubbles, obvious depressions, grooves, and impurities.
2. Smell: Good pipes have no odor, and bad ones have strange smells. It is most likely that polyethylene is blended instead of polypropylene.
3, Material: pure PPR material have low temperature brittleness. It can not only transport high-temperature hot water but also transport cold water, as long as the anti-freezing work, service life of up to 50 years. In the environment below 5°C, the performance is particularly obvious. If not, it may be PP-B pipe that transfers cold water or mixed with other materials.
4, Pinch: If you have a considerable hardness, there will be no problem of deformation, if you can easily pinch deformation of the tube, certainly not PPR tube. Of course, this is not the only standard, but also refer to other methods to make the final judgment.
5. Measure: Use a vernier caliper to measure whether the wall thickness of the tube is up to standard and uniform.
6. Listen: Let the PPR tube fall naturally. If the floor sound is boring, then the quality is better. If the floor sound is crisp, it means that this is a pseudo PPR tube.
