James Dyson’s Failures Turned into Success with Mindpower

It took James Dyson 5,126 FAILURES to finally get what we know as Dyson Vaccum's first commercial model.

Can you believe that??

That's 5,126 mistakes, setbacks, and 15 years of mindpower pushing beyond limitations.

The payoff? Revolutionizing vacuum design forever.

If you don't know the story of inventor and engineer James Dyson, take a few minutes to learn.

James Dyson a.k.a An Exceptional Problem Solver

British inventor, industrial designer, farmer, and entrepreneur—simply put James would be best described as a mindpowered problem solver.

As a teenager, James was so frustrated with the inefficient ways things were designed that it spurred him to create his first invention: an efficient stirrer for use in chemistry laboratories.

In 1979, James's future shifted when he decided to quit as head designer for McLaren Cars and start up his own company.

With no previous engineering experience or expertise in the field, he earned success by practicing intensive research and trial-and-error experimentation.

15 years later, he would completely change an industry and set himself up to be the 4th richest person in the UK with an estimated net worth of £16.3 billion.

Failure is inevitable for all high achievers.

You push the limits. And sometimes the limits push back.

When the limits are testing your will and determination, it doesn't become a matter of IF but WHEN you will make mistakes.

Say it with me: "It's going to be okay."

For most people, the fear of this moment of making a mistake keeps them from their biggest goals.?

The truth is, this is a green light to break through boundaries and doubt so you can find success.

Bounce back quickly!

"As soon as you've made a mistake, start correcting it." - James Dyson?

Mistakes happen.

There’s not a single human being that doesn’t make a mistake at one time or another!

It’s how resilient we are after we make mistakes that matters.

To get where we need to be, we need to make mistakes and learn from them immediately.

Otherwise, we won’t learn.

Ask yourself: “What could I have done differently?”

Remember that mistakes are an integral part of the learning process.

The ICE Method

What do Shay and I do when we make mistakes? We stop beating ourselves up and we ICE it!

The difference between a successful person & a failure is that the successful person never quits. Failure is a part of success...and it often doesn't just happen once or twice...or even 10 times...We often fail more often than we succeed, which is why so few people do.

So true! It's often through failure that we recognize what doesn't work and then can move on to build something better.
