How IoT is Transforming Manufacturing

The Internet of Things is touching nearly every major industry, including manufacturing. IoT allows manufacturers to optimize each stage of the product lifecycle to drive down costs and better serve customers. In fact, a Business Insider report predicts investment in the IoT by manufacturers will translate to billions in spending and that global manufacturers will invest $70 billion on IoT solutions in 2020.

And, while manufacturers are currently using IoT solutions to track assets in their factories, consolidate their control rooms, and increase their analytics functionality, manufacturers will soon implement more sophisticated technologies.
