The big road block for IoT will be the antiquated ERPs that will not be capable of coping with the volume of connected assets and the need to recycle information in near real time. Might be a good thing as the ERP is a mill stone that urgently needs to replaced. IoT could be the driver for this. RFID gave them a fright but IoT is of a different order of change.
