Dr. Simone Perazzoli
As a Machine Learning Engineer, I thrive on solving real-world problems, utilizing advanced techniques to turn complex challenges into actionable insights
Internet of Things, also called as IoT, incorporates sensor-based data gathering (i.e. smart devices) with next-generation wireless networking for remote monitoring and management of water networks. The efficiency gains allow the utilities to develop smart solutions to the industry's current problems, such as changing workforces, deteriorated infrastructures, and limited budgets.
By using IoT tools, Smart Water Utilities can efficiently manage their assets through automated devices that enable the collection and analysis of data on usage, flow rates, water quality, pressure, leakage and much more. This enables them to take intelligent action and, consequently, reducing operational costs and improve the quality of services offered to their customers.
