How to Integrate AI into Your Marketing and Communication
AI could take over your industry. Every CEO and manager is feeling threatened by AI’s capabilities.
In a survey conducted by Washington State University Carson College of Business and Research, 56% of professionals said they already use AI for tasks such as analyzing data and producing content or communications.
The Industrial Revolution reshaped the labor profession and now, AI poses a similar challenge to other job functions.
You can save your marketing team valuable time and resources by deploying AI with tasks like:
Want to know how your association, organization, or even executives can integrate AI into their communication?
Here’s a few ways the power of AI has been utilized in marketing.
#1 Make AI look bad to make your team look good?
You heard that right.
Embrace the irony and make AI work for you. ??
Take KitKat's bold move, for instance.
In a recent ad campaign, the snack brand mocked the idea that AI could replace creativity and turned it into a marketing stunt.
They gave their creative team a break and let AI take over.
And let me tell you, the results were HORRENDOUS. ??
This alone showcases the irreplaceable human touch in their brand.
While some brands are integrating generative AI into their creative processes, KitKat took an interesting approach.
#2 Be part of the AI conversation ???
There are so many ways to include AI in your communication, so do it!
That HAS to grab attention. It’s one of the most searched topics at the moment.
Here's what Tropicana did:

Yes, they temporarily dropped A and I from its name as part of a marketing campaign.
The point of this stunt is to say that there’s nothing artificial about their brand — it's all natural. So, naturally, they dropped AI from their name.
It gets better.
They pulled that stunt right at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, where everyone was talking about AI.
GENIUS, right? ??
They caused some confusion, which alone grabs the eye. And needless to say, attention is just as good as selling.
Moral of the story: Jumping in on trending topics can significantly boost your brand's visibility.
#3 Use AI in your content for more engagement ??
Make your content pop up on people's feeds by discussing how AI is or could be transforming your profession.
Say you're a graphic designer. Talk about AI's capabilities, limitations, and even share failures to pique your audience's interest.
And if you're an executive trying to build your personal brand, I have something even better for you!
Whatever your area of expertise is, share it and find a way to integrate AI into your communication.
Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., President & CEO of SHRM , the largest Human Resources professional association in the world, has had some pretty successful posts about AI.
Not only did he tie it to his expertise, HR, but he also highlighted a very important variable in AI's power — the human touch.
So, no matter what type of content you like to post, keep one thing in mind: integrating AI, or any trending topic, into your content can enhance engagement.
74% of senior leaders believe AI is likely to cause transformative changes that will have a positive impact on work within their industry.
That being said,
rather than viewing AI as a threat, leverage its capabilities to strengthen your expertise and empower your organization, your brand, and your career. Embrace creativity, join the AI conversation, and integrate AI-centric content into your marketing strategy.
