HOW TO INSTALL YOUR DIY FRAMELESS SPIGOT GLASS RAILING SYSTEM

1, Measure the size of the railing you need.

Determine what size you need and what type of railing you need.

2, Draw a line

Draw a line on the area where you want to install the railing. Calculate the size of the glass you need and the number of pieces, the distance between the glass is 20-30mm. Usually, a piece of the glass panel is fixed with 2 spigots.

3、Selecting spigot

c, Select the style of spigot, shape. If there is a handrail, the handrail is round, spigot should also be the corresponding round shape. If the handrail is square, the spigot should also be the corresponding square shape.

4, Select the glass

Choose the right glass, choose the right glass thickness and height.

Tempered glass is used for lower floors and tempered laminated glass is used for commercial use and upper floors.

In residential spaces, stairs typically use 36-inch-high glass, and balconies or other horizontal applications use 39-inch- or 42-inch-high glass. The International Building Code (IBC) specifies that the minimum glass thickness used in a handrail or guardrail assembly should be at least six millimeters or one-quarter inch.

5, Spigot installation

Spigot installation is simple. Place the spigot in the scribed position, mark the location of the hole in the base plate, and drill the hole with a drill bit. Drill the hole and then put the spigot on it and fix it with screws.

6, Place the glass.

Use the glass sucker to put up the glass, the glass panel inserted on top of the corresponding spigot, the wonderful thing about the frameless spigot railing system is that it does not require glass drilling. Do not worry about the installation having errors, or not being installed properly. If there is a problem, you can take it off and reinstall it. One person holds the glass. The other person holds the spigot.

7, Check

After fixing the glass and then check whether the installation is solid. Whether the railing is in a line, whether the top is flush. Then fix the glass to the spigot by connecting it with glass clips.

Don't worry if your floor or soil is a bit leaden. With the help of the hexagonal adjustment system on the body of the spigot, you can adjust the glass by tightening or loosening the screws (up to 10 mm of spigot socket tilt) to level the glass to any uneven surface.
