This article focuses on installation of both R and RStudio for rich powerful graphics to intertwine with R. This installation was performed on Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11 version. Initial navigation to the website https://cran.r-project.org/ displays a bevy of R distributions for various operating systems such as Linux, Windows, and Mac OS. The initial section in the website points to each distribution. Upon clicking the version for Mac OS X, it leads to a display section of multiple packages available for several versions of Mac OS X version. As of this discussion, the current package version is shown as R 3.2.2 package dubbed Fire Safety for Mac OS X. Downloading the package shows a size of 72.5 MB with file extension .pkg. The first step of the pop up shows Introduction screen with continue button. Upon clicking the continue button a read me section appears with a standard warning, that the version is applicable for Mac OS X Mavericks or higher, in this case Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.
