Every day I receive connection requests on LinkedIn. I evaluate each one before connecting. 

I provided advice today to someone wishing to improve the quantity and quality of their network. This article shares the direct advice I offered on HOW TO INCREASE YOUR LINKEDIN CONNECTIONS. I hope it helps you.

“I suggest you change your ABOUT section.  Give some thought to it.

Right now, it says:

ABOUT

I’m a Web Developer, Digital Marketing Analyst and the CEO.

_________

This is what you are; it’s not who you are. You are whatever you have done for others.

So, in your ABOUT section consider expressing what you ACHIEVED for your clients.”

Take a look at your own ABOUT section. Does it say what you are… or who you are?

A simple change of view, will revert the conversation from you to being about THEM...immediately. And that is how you sell. Every connection request is an attempted sale, right? 

Aren't you trying to sell that you are worthwhile to connect with? People will look at your headline, your ABOUT section…before they look at your work history. 

Just remember this:

"People don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care....about them." - Zig Ziglar

You have much to offer .  Your ABOUT section should tell the world how you have impacted others. Do this....and you will have a strong impact on everyone who visits your profile.

This point cannot be overstated. Funny thing is, when I first read the headline, I thought, "Oh boy, another person who just goes for the NUMBER of connections rather than the quality." Glad you are discerning. Otherwise, your posts go out to tons of people who will disregard the info. :) Thanks for the article!
