How to increase your followers without posting everyday
I’m an advocate for daily posting in order to consistently grow on Social Media but if you can’t do that, here are some tips that will help you skyrocket your growth without posting everyday.
1. Be better than Google
If you want to build a loyal community on Social Media, stand out by establishing your expertise. The way to do this is to post content that’s better than what an ordinary Internet user may find on Google.
For example, if you want to establish yourself as an expert in Marketing, post lesser-known marketing tips.
If you want to build a following as a chef, post visually appetizing food in your own micro-niche because niching down is the best way to stand out. The best example for this is The Korean Vegan. She’s a Korean lawyer from Chicago who posts Korean vegan recipes with voiceover stories about her family and culture.
Another example is Chris Do. He started posting about how to earn money as a creative in a way that’s simple, doable and compelling.
Be so good that when your audience needs information about your specialty, they don’t go to Google. They go to you.
2. Keyword Research
I can’t stress this enough. In order to grow, you need to be found. In order to be found, you need to optimize your profile. Optimizing your profile is so easy. It takes less than 30 minutes.
Research the keywords and topics that are trending in your followers’ countries. Go to Google Trends and compare related key words. Use the ones that have higher scores.
For example, the search term “marketing” ranks higher than the terms “social,” “virtual” and “graphics”. If you are deciding on a username, “marketing” is the best option among the 4. Ex. “marketingani” is more searcheable than “socialani.”
Use these keywords in your Bio, About me, Reels or TikTok texts (add the texts on the app itself), Caption, Alt text and Hashtags. (I have a blog titled “The Ultimate Guide to Hashtags.” I’ll put the link below.)
Another tip is to optimize your Headlines or Titles based on SEO and keywords research. A tool called headlines.coschedule.com is very helpful in writing better headlines.

3. Winning Engagement Strategy
Since it’s called “Social Media,” it’s important to be social. Here’s a tip, a “hack” if you will on how to engage with accounts that are interested in your content.
Before and after posting, go to the relevant hashtags that you use for your posts. Engage with the recent posts in those hashtags. Like, Comment, Share and / or Follow those accounts. Then, go to the Top Posts and Comment on as many accounts as you can. Careful to only engage with content that were posted in the last 24 hours.
Don’t be afraid to be the one that engages first. Maximize the power of reciprocity. The more account you engage with, the more account will engage back.
Another winning engagement strategy is to comment on the posts of the accounts that liked and commented on your previous posts. These accounts is a mix of followers and non-followers so you’re both nurturing relationships with both.
Lastly, look for your ideal audience or clients by checking out your competitors. Engage with their audience and get them to follow you. This is the easiest way to find your market.
Having a winning engagement strategy is a surefire way to get more engagements and more followers.
Summary on How to get 1000 followers without posting everyday
I still think posting everyday is important for social media success especially for your personal brand. It’s not only about consistency but also in building the habit of creating content.
Post everyday if you can. Hire a social media manager or content creator if you can’t. Otherwise, follow these tips.
