It was fascinating to see firsthand, how this one thing that I will share with you today increased my efficiency instantly!
I was training for cross-country racing at the gym, I was running in the treadmill, and I had my heart rate monitor. I chose to think about the day ahead, and I noticed my breathing going faster. In my awareness, I checked my heart rate, I decided to bring my focus back to my body; in my breath and in my running form. And then is when I noticed, instantly, how my heart rate went down. The efficiency of my body increased very quickly!
So, the one thing to increase your efficiency is simple, be present.
It sounds straightforward, right? Yet, it requires practice and training your mind to be aware of what is going on within you and around you.
With this awareness, you can choose to bring your attention to the present moment and focus on the task at hand. This mindfulness will support your efficiency; thus, your productivity also gets impacted.
When you are efficient and productive, you have spare time to do more things that you love and things that help you grow! You can do it; it is your choice!
A quick exercise you can do to start training your mind is when you are driving.
When you drive, turn off the radio, turn off the phone and focus on the driving process, and name what you observe: that’s a red car, that’s a traffic sign, you get the idea.
This exercise is simple and will help you to be mindful of your surroundings and direct your mind to presence.
Be present, it has so much power. If you don't know how to start, contact me, I can help you how to get out of your own way!
