How to Increase Traffic or footfall aside going on Sales / Retaining the perception of your good ( Premium) to your Customers/ Market

Sales its good but it actually tells on the margin of the product and ultimately the revenue; too much of sales can actually paint a psychological picture of inferior product as such most organization will not want to increase traffic / Revenue by going on Sales always. therefore, sort other marketing techniques

By increasing Traffic is same as getting a more market Share over all competitor, endearing your Brand to customers and potential customers therefore, making your Website or Brick and Mortar outlets the most visited.

The following should be done

  1. Run a paid Ad/ Campaign on Social Media – This helps us reach Targeted Customers
  2. Outsource your Social Media / Make use of Bloggers – Some Organizations usually make use of in house social media connector but some outsources it; reason why they do, is because they run a Multi-National, Multi Regional Business and doing it centrally may not be effective, each blogger in a region (Northern or Southern or Western Region of Nigeria) each has its fans/ followers and way of doing it thing which is peculiar to its environ.
  3. Use of Search Engine Optimizers – SEO. A lot of people needs our product but do not know how but with the SEO and active phone nos; or link to our ecommerce platform; this will drive traffic to our stores and Ecommerce platform
  4. Influencer Marketing – The use of Celebrities, Brand Faces etc likewise pushes traffic to our distribution channels e.g Pampers uses TIWA SAVAGE, Guinness uses Henry Thierry at a point every big organization needs to have a brand faces?
  5. Drive Excitement via Give Away / Participatory Social Media campaign - Most Organization create fun via give away in store to create a customer experience e.g the some firms gives away to kids Balloon during weekends/ high season; this strategy forces parents to buy when their kids keep requesting for the balloons.
  6. Furthermore, for us to create a fun and iconic brands we have tablets in the store where recording of satisfied parent’s testimonies is recorded and posted on our social media handles and viewers are encouraged to rebroadcast or retweet and the person with the highest retweet/ rebroadcast is rewarded, Likewise the Parents with the highest like is also rewarded
  7. Set up incentive Plan for Stores – This incentive plan is more psychological in nature, that is come up with reward for stores with the more traffic and as well as more receipt nos to justify it. While we the Bonus for those who achieved target /quantity is still implemented. This will encourage the Store team to go all out to ensure the store is busy and the true traffic report is sent
  8. Increase our distribution Channels : Currently we have Two main form of distribution channel, The Stores ( Brick and Mortar and Ecommerce ) by increasing our channels we can partner with other Ecommerce platform such as Jumia or KONGA – WHICH HAS JUST BEING BOUGHT OVER RECENTLY BY ZINOX GROUP and even the mall web sites can be a tool. I am aware some mall would want to partner with tenants to ensure there is a redirecting from the mall site to tenants ecommerce site
  9. We may come up with an agreement for them to redirect clicks to our online platform and subsequently to stores location for picks ups – See Naira land 
  10. Referral Marketing System : The best and easiest form of Marketing is word of Mouth, But we can put incentive system in place for any old customer which refer a new customer to our store and such a one register; and can say the customer name or customer phone nos or loyalty card no. Such a one Point increases – This is another form of customer participatory marketing system
  11. PR / Public Relations – We can feature / sponsor in talk Show or drive our show where we will be given opportunity to talk about your brands, range of offering, Quality and History –at Rush or prime time on Radio or TV ; therefore increases the awareness of your product to a wider audience
  12. Event Sponsorship : Event Sponsorship may not necessarily be cash but gifting in some case: Imaging we are Co or sub sponsor with Cowbell Mathematical competition with the national Spread, the Effect is mind blowing and partnering with Events like AY Show for our logo to be on their tickets ( Parent Show ) even through this the influencer marketing will be easy to achieve 
  13. Customer RelationsThis are already doing – Birthdays et
  14. Reward System –(Point system ) etc
  15. Pricing / Mardowns : As much as I am not talking about Sales here, your product could take a systematic Mark down base on its lunch date – First lunch – Takes a premium pricing and later takes Skimming Pricing. So its scientific, then your product cycle is faster and there is always relatively reduced priced items to cushion the complain of the price of your merchandise – Just for your thought……..
