The brain loves intermittent fasting since it gets to use fat which is a much cleaner source of energy. Through this, you improve your memory and help yourself replace old cells with new cells.
However, you must train your body first to be on a keto diet through a transition phase that gradually eliminates fat. Here, it is still important to eat healthy since you still need valuable micro and macronutrients to function well. Through this, you become keto-adaptive so that you use your fat as your primary energy source. If you don’t undergo this transition, you may feel fatigued and have a headache. Also, take note if your gallbladder is too weak to process all the fat. Through this, you can see if your genes allow you to be ketogenic.
Autophagy is promoted through this practice, thus decreasing the chance of cancer and eliminating illnesses. This is because the brain can shift its attention from digestion to cell repair. Thus to digest less frequently, it is also useful to use meat to gain the calories you need while being satiated. With this diet, it has been shown that some people can get off their meds. Therefore, people have to think about if their other preferred diets are worth not living another 10 or 20 years. This diet is not even difficult to do since the meat you eat will make you highly satiated which makes dieting and fasting easier. Otherwise, you risk getting various diseases, especially dietary ones.
Fat fuel is okay to use just as much as it is okay to use calories from other macronutrients. However, you need to be conscious of how much you eat because your satiation may lead you to not eat enough. Aside from the danger of not eating enough, fasting is safe since our bodies were made to be hunter-gatherers that can last long periods without eating. Fasting is even beneficial as inflammation is also decreased which is one of the root causes of most diseases. Through this, you’re not managing any specific diseases but completely avoiding diseases entirely.
Fasting is specifically good with heart disease since you’re not trying to eliminate cholesterol which has nothing to do with the plaque in your arteries. Instead of treating the cholesterol, you eliminate the sugar that inflames your arteries which causes heart disease. Unfortunately, many doctors do not acknowledge this probably just to get paid for treating further diseases.
Thus, we need to always ask ourselves if we’re in a good mental state in our lives. There is always a root cause that causes all the problems that we have to find and deal with. This is the paradigm shift that you need to have. Then, we always focus on nutrition, exercise, stress, sleep, relationships, bacteria, pollutants, emotions to improve our health.
